Chapter - 1

~POV - Reve

"It's really dark here," I whispered softly to myself. I tried to find some light, but there was none to be found. I kept moving deeper into the darkness. Fear of the dark started creeping in, and I began thinking about ghosts and the scary faces from horror movies I'd seen. I had no idea where I was, but oddly, I didn't feel scared. I felt somewhat reassured and even a bit nostalgic. "What's going on?" I asked myself, even though there was no one else around. It felt like a break after working tirelessly for a long time. I felt a strange thrill in my body as if I was coming alive again after a long slumber. I knew it was strange because I was in an unknown place, all by myself, with no clue about where to go or whether I should just stay put. My mother's advice echoed in my head: "Don't wander in unfamiliar places." The big question was, "What should I do?" Once again, my curiosity got the better of me, and I continued on into the darkness.

Suddenly, a gentle wind began to blow, brushing against my arms and kissing my warm cheeks. Standing there, I felt the night's soft breezes wrapping around me like a tender hug. The whispering wind carried the forest's scent and played with the edges of my clothing, making them sway like a graceful dance of silk and cotton. My dress billowed like a wildflower in a sunny meadow, its fabric unfolding and moving with each gentle gust. I closed my eyes and surrendered to the wind's loving embrace, feeling the fabric of my clothes come to life, a beautiful testament to nature's exquisite dance. I listened quietly to the rustling of leaves. It was snowing, and I felt very cold. I was barefoot, but I carefully stepped on the soft flowers on the ground. The ground looked lovely, and I spotted a piece of warm clothing hanging from a tree, just out of my reach. I knew I was short, and I started wondering about the person who had put it there, considering how high it was. I searched for something to help, maybe a stick. After some searching, I found one and tried again and again, until I finally managed to hook a corner of the cloth with my wooden stick. I tried to slide it toward me, but my foot slipped, and I thought I was about to hit the ground hard, anticipating pain. To my surprise, there was no pain. It felt like someone was holding me tightly. When I opened my eyes, there was no one there. Maybe I was just imagining things. I pushed aside the thought that someone might be nearby, and the wind started blowing again, sending a shiver through my body. Suddenly, a light appeared in the distance from a village.

"Wait, what?" I exclaimed as I turned around and saw that the forest had vanished behind me. I was completely bewildered. I knew this whole situation didn't make any sense. I turned back and found myself in front of small wooden houses covered in snow, just like the ones we read about in our childhood storybooks. Warm air emanated from these cozy homes, and the lights inside were enchanting. I was so captivated by the scene that I forgot to look ahead and accidentally bumped into someone standing with a horse. I quickly apologized, and he saw me and offered a warm smile. I was overjoyed to finally encounter someone, and my intuition told me I could trust him.

He looked like a knight with a sword at his side. He was handsome, and any woman would find him attractive. He had hair as white as snow, a sharp jawline, a lean muscular body, and an aura of vitality. My heart raced in the presence of his captivating personality. "Are you fine, my lady?" he asked with a concerned expression, and I realized I had been staring at him. I composed myself and nodded. In reality, I was far from composed. It felt like thousands of butterflies were fluttering inside me. I was enchanted by the beautiful scene before my eyes. He mounted his horse, and I couldn't help but murmur to myself, "Oh, that move was so graceful." He paused and asked if I had said something. "No, please go ahead. I'm just continuing on my way," I said. He smiled again, leaving me even more flustered. I had no idea what was happening in my stomach; it felt like a whirlwind of emotions. "I hope to see you around, my lady," he said. I was utterly confused because I didn't know this person, yet he spoke to me as if we were acquainted. "I might not return here, so perhaps we won't cross paths again," I whispered. "Oh, we'll meet again... soon," he replied cryptically. I wondered how he had heard my whisper and what he meant by meeting again soon. He urged his horse forward and disappeared into the night, leaving me alone with my bewildering thoughts.
