Chapter - 53 - Learning Medicine

Tang Li didn't panic at all during this critical situation. Her eyes were calm and confident, like she had done this many times before.

She knew that everything was under her control, and Uncle Wang would be safe.

She told Yi Minghuan, "Go find eggs!" with a concerned look when he just stood there staring at her.

Yi Minghuan finally snapped out of it, rushed to the cabinet, and searched for eggs.

While he was away, Tang Li used her powers to call up spiritual water from her space to help Uncle Wang detoxify, ease his pain, and increase his chances of recovery.

Since she couldn't perform a gastric lavage, Tang Li induced vomiting several times and gave Uncle Wang water to drink.

After making sure he had nothing left to vomit, she fed him egg whites to protect his stomach lining and slow down the body's response to toxins.

After checking Uncle Wang's pulse again and confirming that his life was no longer in immediate danger, Tang Li told Yi Minghuan, "Hurry, lets take Uncle Wang to the infirmary. The poison hasn't completely left his body yet."

Yi Minghuan carried Uncle Wang on his back and said, "I'll go first. You wash your hands and catch up."

Tang Li looked at her hands and grimaced; they smelled awful.

After searching for a small piece of soap, she washed her hands thoroughly and found a rag to wipe off the spots of vomit on her clothes.

Once she finished cleaning up, Tang Li blew out the kerosene lamp, closed the door, and quickly made her way to the infirmary.

Inside the infirmary, Dr. Zhang had given Uncle Wang another injection and started an IV. Yi Minghuan was watching the process, and when he heard Tang Li enter, he looked at her.

"Xiao Li, Minghuan told me you induced vomiting in Uncle Wang and gave him egg whites. How did you know to do that?" Dr. Zhang asked with curiosity, observing Tang Li after administering the injection.

Tang Li replied, pretending to be nervous, "I've seen someone poisoned by ginkgo fruit before, and the doctor did the same thing then. I remembered it."

She then asked, trying to sound anxious, "Dr. Zhang, did I do okay? How is Uncle Wang?"

Yi Minghuan's eyes flickered as he looked at her. He remembered that she was very confident and calm when she saved people, and he hadn't seen that side of her before.

Inexplicably, he felt that his wife was not simple, and her speech and behavior didn't look like a rural woman from a small family, which was very strange.

Dr. Zhang smile and praised her, saying, "You did an excellent job! If it weren't for your quick first aid, Uncle Wang might not have made it. You saved his life!"

"I just saw that Uncle Wang was almost out of breath at the time, so I tried my best to save him. I didn't expect to really save him. That's great!"

Tang Li was pleasantly surprised and felt encouraged by the atmosphere.

She asked earnestly, "Dr. Zhang, can I study medicine with you? I think I can help save people like I did today."

Dr. Zhang was a bit surprised by her request. He inquired, "Studying medicine is challenging. It involves memorizing a lot of information and takes a long time. How's your memory? Have you studied before?"

Tang Li replied confidently, "Dr. Zhang, I know a lot of words, and I have a great memory. Why don't you pick up a medical book and test me? I can probably recite most of the pages for you in just 10 minutes."

Dr. Zhang was taken aback by her bold claim but smiled, thinking she was just boasting.

However, seeing her determined expression, he grabbed a medical book and randomly opened a page, saying, "Alright then, let's see if you can memorize this."

"Okay."...
