Chapter - 76 - Sister's Medical Ambition

Tang Yu's eyes lit up and sparkled with excitement upon hearing his sister's words. He asked in surprise, "Sister, can I really stop taking medicine? Can I grow up to be as tall and strong as my brother-in-law?"

Tang Li nodded with a smile, but she knew she couldn't rush things. She didn't have any medicine with her right now. She had to wait for three days until the wheat in the space matured and could be exchanged for life points before starting to treat him. 

Fortunately, Tang Yu had been in good health lately and hadn't fallen ill. He could wait a few more days.

Thrilled with the promise, Tang Yu danced with joy and rushed to tell his parents that his sister was learning to be a doctor, and soon he would be cured.

"Qiuyue, are you really learning to be a doctor? Did your in-laws agree to this?!" Lin Zhenya asked in surprise and concern. "Learning medicine is not something everyone can do. Are you going to spend money on it?"

Tang Wei also looked at his daughter, feeling a mix of surprise and pride. He felt that, she made him feel a little strange when she came back this time, but he also felt a lot more relieved, feeling that his daughter has grown up and is now capable. 

"Dad, Mom, I'm going to learn from Uncle Zhang in our village. It won't cost any money, and he thinks I'm a good candidate for learning medicine. If you don't believe me ask Minghuan, he supports me to study medicine."

Tang Li turned to Yi Minghuan and gave him a subtle wink, silently asking for his support.

Yi Minghuan, trying not to burst into laughter, played along and said, "Li'er is really talented when it comes to medicine."

Tang Wei and his wife beamed with happiness upon hearing this news. They were thrilled that their daughter had such potential and encouraged her to study hard, emphasizing that this opportunity was hard-earned.

"Oh! So good! Our daughter still has this ability! Good good good good! That's great!" 

Tang Li nodded in agreement and felt relieved that she no longer needed to hide her medical knowledge from her family. It would be much easier to help her younger brother in the future.

As dinnertime approached, Tang Li realized that there might not be enough food in the house, so she suggested leaving to avoid embarrassing her parents.

"You Child! Why are you leaving without eating?" Lin Zhenya protested. "I'll cook something right away!"

Lin Zhenya decided to use the rock sugar they brought to trade with the neighbors for some white flour and make scrambled eggs. She wanted to welcome her daughter and son-in-law properly.

Tang Li quickly intervened, "Mom, we've just moved to a new place, and we have a lot to do. It'll be dark by the time we finish dinner, and I won't be able to wash up when I get back. I'll eat next time when I visit in ten or fifteen days. Please, Mom, you have more time to take care of my meals at that time."

Lin Zhenya was happy when she heard that she would come back often, but she was afraid that her daughter would have a fight with her husband regarding this matter, so she asked in a low voice. 

"But your in-laws won't be happy if you visit often," Lin Zhenya worriedly whispered.

Tang Li reassured her mother with a warm smile but insisted that she would still come.

She also mentioned the need to obtain a marriage certificate and update their household registration. She took the household registration book and left with Yi Minghuan after a heartfelt but reluctant farewell from her family.

Sitting in the back of the car, Tang Li watched her family grow smaller in the distance. They stood there, watching her leave.

She couldn't help but extend her hand and wave at them. Her younger brother waved back and took a few steps forward.

Her eyes welled up with tears as she turned the corner and saw them disappear from view. The emotions she had been holding in finally overcame her, and tears streamed down her cheeks.....
