Chapter - 80 - Acupuncture Needles

Dr. Zhang was taken aback by Tang Li's statement. He lowered his face and spoke with a serious tone, "Acupuncture is not a game. If you do it incorrectly, it can be life-threatening. Please don't attempt it indiscriminately."

Tang Li had no choice but to promise in a hurry, reiterating her intention. "Uncle Zhang, I'll study the diagrams of a few acupoints and then try to locate them on myself. Can you help me confirm whether I've found the right ones?"

Doctor Zhang chuckled, clearly touched by her enthusiasm. He nodded and said, "All right, let's start with acupuncture point recognition then. It's an important skill."

Although Dr. Zhang admired her determination but also felt a sense of helplessness. He reluctantly agreed, though he cautioned, "Remember, some things cannot be rushed, especially when it comes to medical skills. Patience is crucial."

Tang Li acknowledged his advice while still looking at the diagrams. Her responses left Dr. Zhang shaking his head, convinced that she would soon encounter difficulties, given the challenges of identifying acupoints.

However, to his shock, just ten minutes later --

Dr. Zhang observed that Tang Li had successfully identified each acupoint quickly and accurately, without making a single mistake. He stared at her in disbelief as she confidently demonstrated her acupoint knowledge.

"Now, please put down the book and identify the Fengchi point, Yamen point, and Jingming point once again," Dr. Zhang instructed.

Tang Li responded promptly, "Uncle Zhang, I've already located these acupoints. It wasn't difficult, and I've recorded them all. You watched, right?"

Dr. Zhang scrutinized her for a while before asking, "Have you read this book in advance?"

Tang Li confessed, "Well, I didn't want to hide too much, but I also didn't want to pretend too much. I was afraid you'd think I was unintelligent and unwilling to teach me."

Dr. Zhang chuckled. "I'm continually impressed by your cleverness. To be honest, even if you're self-taught, you exhibit a natural talent for studying medicine. Since you work during the day, would you like to study with me for a couple of hours after dinner?"

"I do! Thank you, Uncle Zhang!"

Tang Li thanked him enthusiastically and then asked, "Uncle Zhang, do you have acupuncture needles here? Can I take a few home to examine? I promise not to use them recklessly."

Seeing her earnest expression, Dr. Zhang's heart softened, and he provided her with some acupuncture needles while cautioning, "Please, do not attempt to use them on yourself."

Tang Li nodded repeatedly. When she received the acupuncture needle, her eyes lit up with excitement. She could now give herself acupuncture for weight loss when she returned home.

In reality, she had needles in her space, but she couldn't retrieve them in front of Yi Minghuan without borrowing Dr. Zhang's name.

Just then, another person arrived at the infirmary. It was Mo Jing.

Mo Jing was surprised to see Tang Li still there past 8:00 p.m. When Tang Li noticed him, she simply nodded at him and bade farewell to Dr. Zhang.

"Uncle Zhang, thank you for today! I'll leave first and come back tomorrow," she said.

Dr. Zhang smiled and waved her off, offering words of caution for her to be careful going home.

Mo Jing observed her confidently holding a book and grew increasingly suspicious. He couldn't resist asking Dr. Zhang, "Is she unwell? Does she need to come here every day?"

"Xiao Li is studying medicine with me. She's a promising student. I haven't seen such a bright student in years," Dr. Zhang explained with a smile.

Mo Jing's eyes flickered with growing doubt, but he refrained from saying anything and instead requested, "Dr. Zhang, I'd like to pick up some diarrhea medication."....
