CHAPTER 49

I was not getting whether tapping Gray's calls and messages was a good idea or not. These days, it turned into more annoyance whenever I was listening to his conversations, especially with his parents and his beloved sister. I had taken care of his parents, except for their deaths. They are going to face everything. Information spread soon, and I couldn't believe Gray's dad held some power after losing everything.

I know Gray, but why he was giving false hope was something I was not getting. Maybe not to stimulate any other problem. Gray was not a genius if I kept every document in front of him related to the company; I bet he didn't know what to do with them. He is only a bookworm; he doesn't know anything beyond that. The same doesn't go with his father, who is cunning in every way. This only makes me restless. Whether Gray is giving false hope or not, they can't pluck even a hair from me. They can't win over me.

The power that I held was beyond their imagination. Still, I can't neglect his dad, his act, or his power once he got. I didn't want to, but suspicion was taking his place. Gray's staying over is like adding fuel. I don't want to think I made a mistake by forcing him to stay. I can't forget the fact that every important document I held was in the safe locker in my study room. Everything was under my control; CCTV was installed, and the alarm was there, but I was still not able to overcome this suspicion. I feel pathetic sometimes, but I can't help it due to his dad's calls and suggestions he was giving to Gray. That old bastard's mind is really cunning at this age, too.

His sister, God, didn't lend a fucking hand when he was fucking in trouble, and now she wants Gray's help to get her status back. Why the hell is he fucking agreeing to her rather than spatting? What the hell should I think now? Gray didn't know any of this was acting the same way, but only my mood would be off whenever I listened to their conversations. My sister's messages. 'You are making a mistake by bringing him over here' was only making everything worse.

I wanted relief from everything by warning my sister I was going on a business trip. I informed Gray about the same. It was a seven-day trip, and during this period of time, I didn't dare listen to any of Gray's conversations. I needed a break from everything. Running a company is consuming most of my energy, and I can't divert my attention. I can handle anything that would be thrown in my face, and I think I am ready for any comeback from his dad too.

After returning from the business trip, I was feeling fresh. Like, really fresh. Getting thousands worth of deals was not a small task. The board of directors organized a party to celebrate the same, and I was at the party, enjoying the drink. My few friends were present too.

By the time I was back home, it was past midnight. I didn't go to my room and made my way toward Gray's. He was deep in his sleep. Upon seeing his posture, a chuckle escaped from me. I was reeking of alcohol, and I didn't have the energy to take a bath without wasting any more seconds. I was beside him. He felt my presence by grunting; he was back to sleep.

After getting the deal, my routine was busy. I was hardly finding time for anything, and yeah, for Gray too. At least I was making time for breakfast these days, but I was not finding time for that either. Whenever I found time, he would be at the restaurant or in his room. These days, he is too moody. After a week, I found time and was at the dining table waiting for Gray. Everyone was present except Gray. When I asked the chef, he informed me that he was going to have it later as he had his day off, so I nodded my head. I saw my sister with a questioning gaze. "I didn't fucking do or speak a word with him. Don't give me that look." "Well, thank you." "Whatever." "I hope you know what you are doing." "Not again, Dad; we discussed. I will take care of everything." "This is something inviting, right?" "It's not and trust me. I will be responsible for the consequences." "When you know your doing has consequences, then why the hell are you abundant?" "I don't have an answer for that one. I have not questioned anything to answer any of your questions. I feel pity, so I care; maybe that's it." "Making him stay over here is outrageous, right?" "I can't leave him alone for various reasons. He doesn't have a definite path going wherever he wants and however he wants, and I can't let that happen anymore." "That's not your lookout. His life he can lead however he wants." "Yeah, but we were responsible for the way he was leading his life." "Hmmm. Not entirely because of his dad's doing. So, what are you thinking of doing?" "I don't know. Not plan that part. I need to discuss this with him at the right time." "And when will that be?" "Dad I am getting your concern, but enough is enough. As I said, I am going to take care of everything. Please don't intervene in this matter." "I wanted to warn, and I am done with that." "Don't worry, dad. I get your fear, but Gray is not like his dad. I want him to be stable in his life." "After that." "For now, I don't know when the time comes; I will decide." "I really hope you know what you are doing." "Yes, I do, and don't worry." By nodding his head, he continued having the food, and me too. Gray was not harmful, and I know making anyone understand the same thing is a hard task because of his dad.

The next day, we were at the dining table, and Gray was not present. When I asked the chef, he informed me that his room was locked, and when they knocked, he didn't open the door. Immediately, I made my way toward Gray's room. By using the spare keys, I unlocked the door, and he was still sleeping, which was strange. I approached him to check up on him, and he was boiling. What the hell? I immediately dialed my family doctor's number, and he arrived in no time.

I started checking on him, and he gave injections to him and the remaining instructions to the chef. "Is he okay?" "Yeah, what the hell were you guys doing till now? His body temperature reached its maximum." "I didn't know, and I was busy." "Yeah, right." "Is he alright? It's only a normal fever, right?" "Yeah, I guess." "You guess, thanks for that." "Hey, don't mock me." "Don't make me, if I am not wrong; he was suffering for at least the past three days, and you are giving a lame answer. How do you expect me to react?" "At least not in any second you want to strangle me. You are worried, and it's strange." "And what's wrong with that?" "Nothing. Strange." "Are you going to answer my question?" "God, nothing is wrong with him. You guys are always busy in your shitty life, always behind in earning, not giving any time to anything. This serious life is enough to kill you guys." "Ok, still nothing wrong with him, right? When I checked his temperature, I was shocked." "From three days on, what do you expect?" "Ok, he will recover soon, right?" "Just now I treated him, and he needs time. If you want him to be normal, take a break from your life. Go somewhere, enjoy for a few days, and trust me, everything will be ok. I know your lifestyle, and that guy may be stressed too. Just getting lost is the best medication, trust me." I nodded my head, as he made sense. After seeing him off, I made my way to the company by giving instructions to the chef.

Whatever the doctor said was true only to me because I was the one who was busy running a company, and in terms of Gray, his day was as usual: no changes, no development. Why the hell was he stressed out? I was in my thoughts, thinking about Gray's routine, and then it hit me. His recent call flows and messages from family and friends. This might be the bloody reason for his stress. By only attending phone calls and reading messages, he was fucking stressed out. Can he really think of going against me by using his brain? Damn bloody stupid, I was to let pass shitty things about Gray after knowing him for many years.

I didn't waste any more seconds and started dialing Thomas's number. By instructing him on every pending work, I took a week's leave, not just for Gray; I needed a break too. I instructed the driver to return to the mansion. I checked on Gray, who was still sleeping. I instructed one of the staff members to pack a few clothes for me and Gray.

At noon, while Gray was still sleeping, I carried him and made our way to the airport. My secretary had taken care of everything, and the plane was ready to take off. The best place to relax and take a momentary break from everything was an island, and we were on our way to 'Bliss Island'.

Once we were on board, the plane took off. We were in the cabinet, lying on the bed. At some point, Gray was awake and was startled for a few seconds. "Relax, we are going on a vacation." Still, he was in a groggy state due to tablets, and by replying as ok, he was asleep again. I could only chuckle at seeing him this way.

It was a four-hour journey, and finally, in the evening, we reached the island. I checked on Gray; his fever was somewhat stable. We were in the car making our way to the beach house, and in the middle of the way, Gray woke up. He started checking the surroundings, and the view from outside caught his full attention. The cold wind, beach, and greenery captured us, and we were silent the whole ride.

Our luggage was taken care of, and we made our way to the beach house. I am not bragging, but this one was the biggest house on the whole island. Gray was shocked after seeing the beach house. For a few seconds, he was stuck on the spot, and I had to drag him inside. Once we were settled, he said, "OK, what was going on, and where are we?" "We are on vacation, and we are on an island." "I didn't inform the restaurant." "I informed, and the restaurant owner was ok with it." "When are you going to stop deciding things for me without fucking asking?" "Stop getting annoyed. You are recovering from a fever. You needed this and me too, so yeah, we are here." "You should have discussed it, right?" "You are a dead body. Trust me because of tablets, or I don't know. I didn't bother. Will you utilize this vacation rather than get angry? We are here to relax." By groaning, he started checking the house.

This was sudden—I mean, this whole vacation—and I didn't plan anything. What could be possibly done on any vacation to come out of stress? I don't think any planning is required; doing every shitty thing for the whole week was enough, and if his mood is more favorable, then lots of sex. By making up my mind, I was lying beside Gray, who was already dozing off. God, how much is he sleeping? Those pills are off-high dosages, I guess.

The next day, I was the first to wake up. Gray was still sleeping. I checked on him, and he was completely recovered. Thank God for that. I made my way to the bathroom. After taking a shower, I made my way to the kitchen. I started cooking, and by the time I was done, Gray had come down. We started having breakfast. "So, what do you want to do today?" "You didn't plan anything, and you kidnapped me just like that." "Hey, I didn't find time, or else I would." "Yeah, right." "Let's go sightseeing. Later, we can decide." "Are you giving me any options?" "No, you are not lucky. Have your breakfast; let's follow today's plan without argument." "Han, Han."

After having breakfast, we went sightseeing. This island was way more beautiful than expected. It was a sudden decision, but definitely worth it. Till evening, we tried to cover most of the nearby places, and when we thought of heading back, we saw there was a party running near the beach. It was an open party, and I don't think any invitation was required, so without giving it a second thought, we made our way to the party. Indeed, no one objected; we started enjoying ourselves. Alcohol and drugs were immense, and more was needed to divert the mind, so we gave in. We partied till the time we were passed out on the beach itself. I was woken up by sunrays, and when I gained consciousness, I started searching for Gray. Thank God he was near me, and I dragged him to the room.

The next day, we booked the yacht and went fishing. Till evening, we spent our time there, and we were back by catching a few fish. Once again, we didn't go back to the house; the same guys invited us to the party. I wanted him to enjoy himself by taking a break from everything. This time I didn't take any drugs and had limited alcohol intake, but I allowed him to take them. I also wanted to keep an eye on him, and I didn't want yesterday's scene to be repeated.

When he was on the verge of passing out, I dragged him back to the home. After changing his clothes, I made him go to sleep. I never knew he would end up seducing me, and we ended up having sex. The next day, we were woken by the rays of the sun. The position we were in was enough to know what had happened and Gray was staring at me. "You had sex when I was drunk." "Hey, you were all over me, seducing me, and I couldn't stop you." By clearing his throat. "Don't fucking lie. I was not." Why the hell is every conversation with him turning into an argument? I was definitely not in the mood for one as my member was active. I didn't waste any second and I was on top of Gray. He was struggling to get rid of me, and it was a waste of his energy. I locked his hand, and with a chuckle, I approached his face. "You were; why would I lie? I knew my effect on him and once again, it was confirmed when his member twitched. You got every fucking right to be all over me because it's you, Gray." When those words left, I was startled for a few seconds, thinking about what rights I was fucking talking about. What the hell am I even saying? Gray was, too. We were staring at each other, and before we could process and find any meaning in the spoken sentence, our lips were locked, and we ended up having sex.

The whole week went by taking drugs, drinking, and visiting a few places. By the time we were back at the mansion, we were fully charged. "Hey, why the heck is my luggage going upstairs? My room is downstairs." "Because you are shifting to my room." "Why the hell would I do that?" "Because you are not capable of looking after yourself." "Don't talk like I am a bloody child, understood. I can take care of myself, and I am not shifting." "Yeah, you didn't go to the hospital; you were suffering from fever for three days. That's called taking care of yourself." "Well, I had taken tablets." "And it was not effective, so you ended up spending three days on the bed. If we delayed a day too, there would be consequences, right?" "As I said, I had taken tablets, and I will be careful next time." "If there is one, if you have proved that you are capable of taking yourself, then I would not force you. Too late; your things have already shifted to my room, so you are staying with me." "This is called fucking personal space, according to you." "As you saw, my room is big; you can still have your personal space, guaranteed." "Fuck off." "Don't even start now. Just now we are back, and I don't want you to get a fever again." "Knock it off. Don't treat me as fragile." "Common, let's take a rest. From tomorrow on, we will be busy with our work." "Whatever. I am fucking fed up with arguing with you. For fuck's sake, discuss something related to me before deciding yourself." "Again, would you agree? If I had, no right." Common, and with that, I dragged him to the room.
