"How are you feeling? Have you experienced any nausea or cravings?" asked the doctor as I lay on the clinic's bed. I had just listened to my baby's normal heartbeat for the first time. The doctor applied a device to my belly, and tears of joy streamed down my face as I listened to the beats. 


"Yes, I'm already experiencing cravings, sleepiness, and headaches in the morning, but I haven't experienced vomiting yet," I answered. She nods in understanding while writing something on my records. Then she looks at me and smiles. 


"Would you like to see your baby? Even though you're still in the first trimester, we can give you a glimpse of how they look inside you." I couldn't help but smile with excitement, but then I remembered Clark and realized that I wanted him to share this experience with me.
