Fierce Winds!

Ya!-(Hi!) It is I, Yumi. I didn't know at the time, that today would be very interesting. Hah! Since I woke up, something inside me had been feeling abnormal, ...and I not because I am abnormal myself...

At breakfast this morning, I had a delish new spin on potatoes I had never tried before. Before I knew it, after satiating myself, I was hit with this intense feeling of another's energy.

Yumi thought, 'This feeling! . .It can only mean..... that one.....is close... How interesting... (Chuckling)''

What was curious about this, was that most of the time, they only act at night, or so I thought... I quickly paid for my hotel and I left to find out what I was sensing.

My senses were guiding me northeast of where I was last night, Tyne Bridge. Getting closer, this feeling I had kept wavering, back and forth. I couldn't understand it...

At last, what I was sensing led me to a park of some kind. I felt unsure. After thinking for a moment, I went to ask a person that was leaving, about it's details.

English man said, ''You want to know what this place is? Um, ...fine I'll tell you. This is Jesmond Dene Park. It's a splendid park with a lot of history. Though, I don't know most of it... Hmm...

Does that help you, miss?'' Yumi replied while in thought, ''Jesmond Park, huh? . .Uh, y-yes! That was enough, thanks a lot!''

English man said, ''Hold on. Haven't you heard the trouble happening in this location?'' Yumi asked, ''Trouble? What do you mean?''

English man replied, ''I realized..... Hm... You seem to be a foreigner, so I guess you wouldn't know. Some visitors here have been saying that they encountered a bird-like person who kept asking, 'if they were strong or a fighter.'

Yumi said, ''Oh, really...''

English man nervously replied, ''I just heard of it myself. I don't know if what they say is true, but I choose to leave for my own safety. Apparently, others have left with minor scratches too...

You can do what you want, but I pray for your safety miss. (Waves hand) I must be going now. Bye.''

Yumi thought to herself, ''A...bird person? What could that be? . . . .'' I didn't know what to make of these sayings, but I moved on and kept myself ready for anything...

By the time I entered, it was around afternoon or so... I again switched to the spiritual realm to make thing hopefully easier on myself...

I slowly walked around this fetching river park, taking in the view as I was searching for the Yokai. I stopped for a moment to look at the view from this pretty bridge overlooking a river.

Without warning, a fast force flew towards me and landed a few feet to my right. Before I knew it, he found me and asked...

Bird man asked, ''You!, miss! Are you strong?! Do you know how to fight?!'' Yumi replied, ''First, I got a question for you.'' Bird man said, ''Okay. Go ahead!''

Yumi asked, ''What exactly are you? Also, ...what's with that creepy mask?'' Bird man replied in a shocked manner, ''. . . .What?! My mask isn't creepy! I-I-I need it to show my fighting spirit! It's not because I don't like my face or anything!''

Yumi said dejectedly, ''Huh? I never asked you about your face...'' Bird man paused and said, ''S-S-Shut up!! Anyway, I am what you call a Tengu, and I am searching for a opponent in this world stronger than I!''

Yumi asked, ''A Tengu? . . . .What do you mean by, 'a opponent stronger than you?' Bird man said, ''Ahh, yes. I sense that you have fighting prowess, truly you do..... (Laughs)

Years ago, I heard from one of my friends back home that 'there is always someone stronger then you.'' Hearing that, I had a eye-opening experience and since then, I have been trying to find that opponent for my own growth!''

Yumi replied, ''I guess, ...that makes sense... Mmm..... I'll tell you, I am able to fight using my yokai abilities. If I fight you, will you stop being so annoying?''

Bird man replied, ''Your annoying!! (Coughs) . .First as opponents, it is a rule that we should know each-others names. I'll go first. (Yumi nods) My name is Sora! Yours?!''

Yumi said with a smirk, ''Sora? How ironic... I am Yumi Yoru... I deal with the various problems of all Yokai.'' Sora said, ''Yumi, huh? What a interesting name, indeed it is. (Laughs) Let's begin!!''

Our fierce duel started, and with it, a test of both our fighting skills. He fights very skillfully for such a fool. Because of where I grew up, I have fought martial artists before for my training.

To my eyes, I could tell that he hands down fights like a martial artist, with a tiny mix of flailing around like a spoiled brat.

Sora shouted, ''Hut!-Ta!-Ta!-Ta!-Ta!-Taa!-Taa!-Taa!-Taa! Taaaa!!'' Yumi said with a smirk, ''This is getting boring now...''

Sora paused and asked, ''Huh?! Where did she go? . . . . . . . .(Smack!)'' In a flash, I re-appeared and punched him, knocking off his Tengu mask.''

When he stopped fighting, it felt like his pausing, lasted for hours...

Sora gloomily said, ''You...'' Yumi asked, ''Huh?'' Sora said, ''You've..... (Bows) You've beaten me,  and seen my true face!!  (Tears)''

Yumi agitatedly asked, ''What now? I don't understand...'' Sora bittersweet, said, ''Your one of the first opponents to knock off my mask, since one of my friends did so as a child! I admit defeat!''

Yumi sighed and asked, ''I'm glad... (Fake smiles) Can I take you home, now?'' Sora fervently replied, ''Yes... Now that...your my newest rival.''

Yumi said, ''Yes, now that... huh?'' Sora solemnly said, ''My new rival. Please, take me home where I belong...'' Yumi vexingly said, ''I'll will send you through my gate, with this gift...''

Sora asked, ''A gift? . .W-W-What are you-(Echoing Punch)''
