I was a horrible husband, and a scumbag father.

And, just when I thought I could finally be reunited with them, I opened my eyes and realized I turned back time.

I returned at the exact moment Mona and I were in the middle of discussing divorce.

NIKOLAI finally understood why Gavin Kim wanted to drink tonight.

[I would drink, too, if I were him.]

"Are you alright?" Gavin Kim asked while patting his back. Then he handed Nikolai bottled water. "Here."

Nikolai grabbed the bottled water but he didn't open the drink. "Is Areum-ssi's pregnancy that dangerous that the doctor made you choose between your wife and your unborn child?"

"Areum was diagnosed with severe preeclampsia."

Nikolai almost dropped the glass in his hand.

Severe preeclampsia was a leading cause of maternal death.

[I know because when Mona was pregnant with our twins, I did my research to make sure my wife's life wouldn't be put at risk during her pregnancy.]
