What happens when myth meets reality?

On the night of his father's grand Hotel opening, Aiden had gone out to the sea with his friends to escape the noisy crowd in the hotel that disturbed his peace.
Out on the sea and out of boredom, he had decided to try out something he had never done all his life: fishing.
In the middle of the night... along the offshore zone of the sea, the fishing net was casted into the sea. When something tugged at the net, his friends quickly pulled it up and into the boat before it could escape back into the ocean
With a sense of achievement, they looked at the net to see what they had caught and to their suprise...

Aiden walked up to kai who laid motionless on the cold floor after being pulled out of his tank by his tail. His wet golden coloured hair sprawled and stuck to his pale white skin as the water droplets trickled down to the ground.
Aided squatted in front of him and gently pushed back the loose strands of wet hair that shielded his face. Holding onto kai's chin, he tilted his head up so he could look back at him. Upon seeing the hateful gaze of the young merman directed at him, a sly grin appeared on his face
"Let me go." Kai said through gritted teeth causing Aidens smile to broaden. Caressing his cheeks softly, he leaned closer to the dripping man and whispered softly into his ears in a deep dulcet voice 
"No-"

"Why would he want people of different genders to live together when they aren't even married yet?" Aiden questioned with an obvious crease between his brows openly showing his disapproval of the idea. There was no way he was going as far as to live with Naomi.

Seeing his disapproving expression, his mother clicked her tongue and pinched and pulled on his cheek to ease it,

"Don't make that face. I was the one who wanted Naomi to return with me since she graduated, so she didn't have the time to prepare a place to live." Mrs. Morris said in a hushed tone so Naomi wouldn't hear their conversation.

"Then why doesn't she just live with you at the family house?"

"Well, I did ask your father to prepare for her arrival but then, he said there was no need since she was going to be living with you. Who knew?"

"Fine. I'll accomodate her just until she finds a place to live, I'm sure it won't take long." Since it was his father, there was no going back.
