032 Witch

The shrines in Japan mostly have a Tang Dynasty imitation style.

The Kyojin Shrine was no different.

Constructed from wood, complemented by white walls, blue tiles, and bright vermillion accents tracing the architectural lines.

A huge Shimenawa made of straw was suspended high above the shrine's main gate, marking the sacred boundaries.

A few ema and brass wind chimes hung beneath the Shimenawa, which produced a haunting and simplistic metallic clang whenever the wind blew.

In this already picturesque scene, there was also a little witch dressed in white and red hakama pants, wearing white tabi on her feet, and her black hair tied up with white paper.

The sense of atmosphere and the mystique of religion were dialed up to the max.

The little witch of the Kyojin Shrine was about 16 years old, a high school student named Onizuka Kirihotaru.

Because she had dual identities as both a student and a shrine maiden, Onizuka's life was incredibly full.
