This morning, Kamiya and Onizuka both had classes on the Honkou campus, so it was only natural for them to agree to have lunch together.
"Agawa! I'll wait for you in front of the Yasuda Auditorium, I want to try the Akamon ramen at the Central Cafeteria today."
Perhaps because she had been eating so healthily and lightly at Kyojin Shrine before, Onizuka had always been enthusiastic about all kinds of gourmet food.
And the Akamon ramen she was keen on today happened to be the most famous dish from Tokyo University's cafeteria.
Named after Tokyo University's important historical landmark, "Akamon Gate," the Akamon ramen is known for its deep red broth that mirrors the color of the gate. The ramen resembled topping-covered noodles with a Chinese-style wheat base, generously heaped with minced meat and mushrooms, bean sprouts, wood ear mushrooms, bamboo shoots, and cabbage, with a slight spiciness to the soup.
