Thirteen Modesty

After arriving in Japan, I became a high school student named Kamiyagawa. Looking around—
Hanako crouched in the bathroom, waiting for someone to knock on the door; the Split-Mouth Woman wandered the streets with scissors in hand; Miss Mary's deathly calls echoed incessantly; the wails and barks in Inunaki Village never ceased; the Ubume searched for her long-dead child; the Aoandon smiled, enticing passersby to play with the lanterns of a hundred demons…
In a crumbling world rampant with sinister tales and malevolent spirits, Kamiyagawa set a small goal for himself:
"Defeat all the demons and monsters, and become the supreme ruler of ghosts and deities."

Kamiya sorted through the situation in his mind.  


Hachisaku-sama helps me fight monsters because we had an agreement that I would take good care of my little disciple and help her learn various spells beneficial for controlling her innate spiritual power.  


But over at Kanoya, every time Hachisaku-sama assists me, she also gets a hand-drawn notebook as a reward?  


Hachisaku-sama does one job and ends up benefitting from both sides, huh?  


Is she planning to eat us, master and disciple both, alive?  


And there's the foolish Shouka too...  


My silly disciple, would you please wise up a bit! Hachisaku-sama helps me entirely because of you, so why are you still giving her a reward?  


"When Hachisaku-sama returns, I really need to settle the accounts with her."  


Kamiya bit into his soda-flavored popsicle.  


It's okay, the cowlick is also a cute feature.
