The night

It was sport time, Alaric and the twins sat on the bench as they watched Aiden danced and rap to the song, "life is good" by future and drake.

"Woah", brian claped," you should be in a competition, how do you even do those moves, wait let me try".

Brian stood to show his moves.

"Hey sit down,your dance is pitiful,don't embarrass me, let me show you",alaric said as he stood to dance.

Aiden laughed slightly,"pa you look pathetic" .

Brian used his elbow to hit Aiden,"don't you think am better than him,it hasn't even been up to one minute,he's already sweating".

"Hey Alaric,you look like you're forced to dance,be humble".

"SIT DOWN",the twins and Aiden chorused.

"Hey brion,you joined them huh,you have to show yours too".

Brion laughed nervously,"no no ,I don't think there's a need for that".

"Is this your way of backing out,come on,show us something",alaric said as he dragged him.

The three cheered for him.Aiden played future part and they watched how brion danced to it.

"Woho!" ,brian clapped,"I never knew you had it in you,though you dance better than Alaric it isn't better than Aiden".

"What the heck brian,why didn't you use yourself",Alaric laughed .

Brian ignored him,"hey Aiden play play another" .

"What?is that a command?".

"Just play another".

As he scrolled to pick a song he saw ted run towards his direction.

"Any problem" ,alaric asked.

"The video,I know the person that sent the video to your parents",ted said still panting.

Alaric frowned"Finally ,tell us who the bastard is".

Brian stands and moved to pats ted shoulders,"I always knew you are useful" .

Aiden face was blank and he moved closer to ted,"so tell us,who the bastard is" .

There was silence for five seconds as the four awaited the answer.

"Tommy" ,ted muttered.

"Tommy?" ,he raised his eyebrows,scoffed and bent his head down with his hands in his pocket.

He raised his head,"look at ted and smiled,get trustworthy boys we're going for a night hunt".

"Yes I will",he answered and walked out.

It was raining heavily that night,the thunder roared,it was a dark night,many people were indoors because of how the rain was .The time was around 8,Tommy stood at the bus stop, waiting for a bus.

A child that looked 8 years of age,handed a piece of paper to him.

He collected the note and opened it,it said;

"If you want money for your mum

Medical bills,meet us now,follow the child.

He creased his eyebrows,who would help me,he thought to himself.

"Who gave you" ,he turned his head to the child and the child started walking towards a particular direction,they went through different road paths and finally passed through an alley.

Tommy was scared,but still choose to follow the child.

It was a lonely place surrounded by buildings. Tommy had anxiety,he doubted if the person wants to help him for free but he was prepared to do anything.

The child halted,in the middle.

"What...is it" ,he stuttered,"where's the person who gave you the note".

He heard footsteps from behind him,he turned and his eyes widened as he saw a person clothes black,he face was covered with a mask.

He walked to the child, handed him some cash, whispered to his ear and the child ran away.

"Please.....mr... excuse me,he stuttered,are you the one that sent me the note",

The clothed black person was silent and within 5 seconds two black clothes person's walked from different directions, surrounding him.

Tommy was frightened,he took a step back with fear and turned to run away,but was stopped by one of the black clothes person's.

"Beat him",one of the black clothes person said.

He screamed and beg for mercy,but they kicked,punched, and hit him with different objects.

He groaned in pain and tried to fight back but even if he knew he couldn't,he still tried,and the more he got hit.

He spewed blood and tried to stand but he fell on the ground,lying like a lifeless boy.

"Boys,that's enough" ,the first person said as he crouched and moved his index and middle finger under jacks nose.

He laughed, "you're still alive,look here tommy,this is what you get for messing with them and the next time you'll really be six feet under"." You want to be the hero boy, well you can be the hero in the underworld". "You think you're a samaritan, I don't think after this you'll be able to film anything about the three again".

He stands,"let's go boys".

The rest followed him,leaving tommy on the ground.

IN A HOSPITAL

Tommy laid on the hospital bed,he tried opening his eyes but everything looked blurry.He opened his eyes again,and saw a figure sitting across him with a book in his hand.

The figure became more clear and he tried to sit up but he groaned in pain and fell back on the bed.

"Aiden it was you" ,he said with pain as he looked at him distasteful.

Aiden turned the book upside down and dropped it on his laps,"I see your awake and what the hell are you talking about",he said calmly.

"Don't be pretentious" ,Tommy said as tried to sit up but groaned and fell back on the bed.

Aiden closed the book and stood up,"a scholarship student has been injured outside of the school premises,the school owner,director miss camila loves her students and care more for the scholarship students,your hospital bills has been paid"."I ,the grandson has watched over the injured student,in place of her ,I have done my part and I can leave".

"You pretentious",Tommy mumbled with pain.

Aiden heads towards the door,paused and peeked over his shoulder,"you have many enemies Tommy, remember the warning",he smirked and walked out.

Tommy was speechless and frightened as he remembered what happened to him,that cold night.
