Theo pov

I walked back to the house after my night jogging, needed to clear my head a little. I opened the door to my room and paused as I saw brenda laid on the bed horizontally wearing absolutely nothing.

She smiled as she saw me.

I closedthe door and remove my sweatshirt.

"Do you like what you're seeing", she tried to sound sexy."I know you can't get enough of me,honey".

I took a deep breath as i removed my sweatpant,she bites her lower lip as she changed her position,does she think am turned on?

"Just what do you think you're doing" ,I say with a straight face not fixing my gaze on her or glancing,just focused on removing my clothes.

I felt the silence,"don't you want it?",she asked.

I glanced at her,she looks devastated,"cover yourself up,am so tired" ,I say as I entered the bathroom.

I heard footsteps,I peeked over my shoulder and saw brenda.

She hugged me from behind,naked.

But still,I didn't feel anything. I have no feelings for her,but we still had sex sometimes.

The kind of relationship we have is,were a married couple to the world but we ain't married. Well as for sex,let's just say both of us need it sometimes,if I don't feel like it,then it's a no.

It has been like this for years,she's pretty,she's sexy,but no feelings attached, she thinks she has feelings for me but she doesn't know,it's possession.

I don't really know how she got pregnant with Aiden,but all I can deduce is that is I was drunk or I was drugged,because am not the kind of person that has sex with just anyone unless I have feelings for them.

Sometimes she brings up court marriage,having no feelings for her is the reason why I can't push with it.

In camila's mansion,years ago.

I crossed my leg and sat across brenda,straight faced.

"I've thought about this many times brenda",I take a deep sigh,"I don't think we're destined" .

"What?",from the look in her eyes,her heart broke into pieces,her eyes became teary,"what do you mean theo?" .

"Brenda,your parents are fucking rich,if your worried about having a child out of wedlock,then it's okay,he can stay here,Aiden is already a year old,I don't think I'll be needing much from you,you've done your part".

I took a deep sigh,I looked emotionless and straight at her so she'll know how serious I am,"I can't do this brenda,I've really tried but,no,I can't generate feelings for you,love shouldn't be forced".

Her voice shakens,"how ...how can you...how can you say that with such a straight face,your heartless!",she yells.

"After everything that happened I still stuck by your side,do you know how I felt broken when that insane girl took you and my baby away from me,finally the both of you were found,and I was so happy,but what is this!".

"I love you theo",she says as tears tied down.

I shoved her emotions,"even though we go to college he'll still stay here,I don't understand why you're bothering me with marriage,what's the percentage of people that gives birth out of wedlock and still get married together". "You need to get things out of your head brenda".

Brenda stands and slams the table,"are you saying I should abandon my child!".

I looked calm and relaxed as I look at her,"am not saying that brenda,you can still see him,after all your parents don't really like having Aiden around anyway,it is clear".

I paused for five seconds,"am giving you a chance to be with someone else,you have many years ahead,and you are pretty,many men will like you".

This time I couldn't figure out what she was feeling,anger , sadness or both.

Tears streamed from her eyes,"you can't say that theo" .

I stood as I walked around her and pats her shoulders,and after that I sat back at my chair.

Brenda sniffles were only heard,but it's disrupted when her phone rings.

She answers the phone and stops sniffling, "senior sister" ,she muttered.

The conversation started and her eyes widened,I didn't care to know what her sister said,but their conversation was short.

I shifted my gaze from my phone to hers as she droppedit on the table and lowers her head.

I stood to head to the door.

"Theo" ,she mutters.

"Let's just be together".

I heaved a deep sigh,stressed about going through this whole conversation again,"don't you get it? loving me is a losing game?".

I scoffed,"brenda I can't",still walking towards the door" .

She hurriedly walked and stood In front of me,the next thing that made me shocked is that she fell on her knees and held my hand.

"Theo" ,she looks up,"don't you care about Aiden,do you want him to be like you when he grows up,even though you don't show it theo,I know you resent your dad for leaving,even though you don't know him".

Your parents divorced before you were born.

I look down at her,"we are not married so no need to be divorced".

Her voice shakens,"don't you want him to see his parents together?,I won't force you into marriage or to love me,let's just be together,for Aidens sake please".

I didn't know how I react,my expression was nameless,"do you think I'll stay forever with you" .

"Theo I understand if you won't do it forever,but for now , please".

There was absolute silence

She placed her around me,"when are you going to love me theo" .

"You're making me uncomfortable brenda" ,I tried to remove her hands from my body,but she held on tight.

I scoffed," seriously" .

She was silent.

This is the best time tk bring up the matter of cecile,she was found dead at the bank of a river,I wasn't even close to her. The day that she bats her eyelashes at me,and brenda got angry,that was the last day I saw her.

I sighrs,"now that we're like this I want to ask you something,what happened to cecile?".

She perked up,"what do you mean what happened to cecile,are you trying to say I killed her?".

I felt annoyance in her voice.

I peeked over my shoulder and curved a smile,"I didn't say she was killed,so tell me,why say that".

She released her hands from me,"she's been Missing for months that's why".

I scoffed,"how do you know she's been missing" .

"I haven't seen her",she said sharply.

"So you checked up on her" ,I said sarcastically and face her.

I loouk at her straight at her eyes but her eyes wasnt steady and she was avoiding my gaze.

I placed my index finger on her chin and lifts it up,"do you know why I dislike you around Aiden,soon I'll separate him from you,You have secrets and am sure some are so deep that are untold to no one".

"Now brenda",I say with disgust,get out.

I release my finger and resume my shower.

I heared retrieving footsteps and the Door banged.
