Chapter 8 - Being a Mother and King

Zeus POV

Over the years things have happened.

I was in the newly built Olympus as I've freed the rest of the Hekatonkheires and Cyclops to let them be free.

Athena, Goddess of Wisdom and Warfare has a seat on the council.

My son Aemos didn't want to be on the council but be a librarian even tho he had my strength and his mother's wisdom like his sister he wanted something quiet but I allowed him to follow his heart.

Now marrying Hera as well plus having two sons with her, Hephaestus and Ares was not bad but thinking that her voice was bigger than mine at council meetings I wouldn't allow.

Hephaestus wasn't the most handsome son but he was still my son but when Hera threw my son off mountain Olympus, I was beyond angry.

Zeus: Where is he?

I was looking at Hera with a blank face but my anger was boiling on inside.

Hera: Where is who?

Zeus: You think I'm playing games Hera, WHERE IS MY SON?!

As lightning flashed at the sound of my voice.

Hera: Why do you care about that thing?

As lightning continues to flash as mother walks in to see what I'm about to do with this bitch!?

Mother: What's going on?

Zeus: Your precious daughter threw my son, your grandson off the fucking mountain!?

Mother: What?

Mother looked at Hera with horror on her face.

Mother: What have you done to my Grandson?!

Hera: He was freak! Me the Queen of the Gods gave birth to an Abomination, Ares is the only one I see!

Zeus: You leave me no choice, As King of Olympus, I strip you of status as queen until I decide to return it to you.

Hera: What?!

Zeus: Guards!

The guards came with Aemos leading them, he had more then one profession.

Aemos: Yes mother, how can I help you?

Zeus: Escort Hera to her room, and watch her as she's stripped of her title as Queen.

Hera: You can't do this!?

Zeus: I can and have, you may receive no visitors until I find my son.

The guards grabbed by her arms to take her away.

Zeus: I'm going to find my son mother, tell Métis and Athena that you will lead while I'm gone.

Mother: Yes daughter, now go get my grandson.

I nodded to flash down to earth to the island of Lemnos, I sense where he landed as I arrived quickly to see the impact crater plus blood, my heart nearly sank.

Zeus: Hephaestus.

Then I look to see the sea nymph Fetus and Uranome.

Uranome: Lord Zeus.

Zeus: Have you two seen my son?

Fetus: Yes, he's this way.

I walked with them to hear a loud banging to shake the surroundings as I walked to a forge to see my son working hard as I smiled to lean against the wall watching proudly.

Zeus: Hephaestus.

He turned to me but I saw his injury of his leg as I nearly cried.

Hephaestus: Mother.

He tried to walk to me but I raised my hand for him to stop as I walked to him to put my hand on his face to hug him but he sobbed.

Hephaestus: W-Why doesn't she l-love me?

Zeus: Even if she does not, you have me, Métis, Athena, Aemos, and if he wants to get a slap upside the head, Ares too.

Hephaestus calmed down as I look to Uranome and Fetus.

Zeus: I thank you both for caring for my son, if you ever need anything just name it.

Fetus: It is no trouble my King.

Hephaestus: Mother, I don't want to return yet.

I look at him as I know he's happy doing this.

Zeus: Very well but I think your mother needs a lesson.

Hephaestus: A lesson?

Zeus: I need you to build something my son, to teach her lesson.
