I looked around, and besides the flurry of activity around the two wounded people there was zero attention on us. I followed their gazes, and found myself looking up at a notification on the dungeon itself that no one here seemed to believe.

Third wave has been conquered.

Fourth wave incoming in 27 hours 12 minutes

We'd stopped the clock. The zombies wouldn't be coming out today. I was willing to bet the higher ups already knew about this outcome, but of course they wouldn't tell anyone about it. If time was faster in the dungeon then I could take advantage of that to raise my stats. I straightened slowly, and returned the bow only to get whisked off to be debriefed.

I told them everything. I didn't know if that wounded guy would survive, but the gal with the bum arm would probably make it. Around the time I finished telling them everything the seven o'clock healing kicked in, and my added stats crashed into my body. I felt the difference immediately. They let me go after taking all the zombie cores I had off of me.

They even wired a payment for them to my bank account. I breathed a sigh of relief. My final paycheck wouldn't be coming in for another few days so I was running really low on money. I didn't think they paid me enough, but I desperately needed the money so I didn't complain. I was the only one who'd bothered to collect supplies while in the dungeon.

I was the only one that had a bag to use for collecting things so I wasn't too worried about it. I didn't have any cores left, but I had plenty of the rest I'd collected. They'd only wanted one or two samples of the rest of the drops. I started browsing through the skill list. This breakdown bonus would only last through the rest of the month so I needed to find a way to break down monster corpses once I lost this benefit.

I went back to my room in the hotel. I flopped into bed, and rolled up in the blanket. Time to catch up on some sleep. Once I was done getting some decent sleep I would go back to the dungeon. I could look into a skill for breaking down monster corpses after I got some sleep.

My sleep was blissful. When I woke up the next morning I stretched, and rolled out of bed. I was a bit grimy so I decided to take another shower. I wasn't used to taking this many showers in the same week, but I didn't like the feel of dried zombie blood on my skin, and being clean was more of a priority then stopping my hair from drying out. I brushed my hair, and whipped it up into a ponytail.

Despite being a girl I wasn't that great at making my hair up. Changing into fresh clothes, and checking my messages. It was five in the afternoon now, and I hadn't heard from the kid taking care of my rabbits. I called the kid that was taking care of my rabbits. He picked up on the second ring.

"How are the rabbits?" I asked.

"They're good," the kid choked out.

He was clearly upset about something.

"What's the matter?" My mothering side came out.

"My cat ran away," he sniffled, "I can't find him."

I felt a pang of sorrow. I knew this kid, and his cat. She was one of those fat lazy types of cat. She never went anywhere even when she was let outside. The fact that he couldn't find her wasn't a good sigh, but I didn't say any of that.

"Cats are scrappy so don't worry too much," I lied, "If she isn't back by the time I'm done here then I'll help you look for her."

"Really?" he asked, still sniffling.

"Yes one hundred percent," I put a happy tone in my voice, but it didn't reach my face, "I'll be back in a couple days."

I hung up the phone, and my expression turned serious. I headed to the elevator. Going down to the lobby quickly, and then my stomach protested. I realized I hadn't eaten in over a day. I looked for somewhere nearby to eat, but it turned out that most of the nearby food joints were closed so I just went to a grocery store.

They didn't have much for selection when it came to hot food, but it didn't take me long to figure out what I wanted. I grabbed some simple macaroni, and headed toward the dungeon once again. Eating the macaroni out of the container as I walked. Part of me was kind of glad I'd grabbed a ten dollar bill before leaving, and stuffing it in my pocket. I'd emptied my backpack, and didn't bring my wallet with so that ten dollar bill was all the money I had on me.

I had bundled a bunch of bone arrows together in a side pouch of my backpack. I needed a proper quiver if I was going to continue being an archer. I parked my car closer to the park, and headed through the checkpoint to go to the dungeon. The area surrounding the dungeon had been fenced off by cargo containers. I had to pass through one of those containers to get to the dungeon.

It didn't take me long to reach the second checkpoint, but once I got there they didn't outright refuse me like before. I was told they wanted us to enter the dungeon in groups of ten or more so as long as I entered with a group I would be allowed to enter the dungeon. I thanked him, and moved out of the way before finding a soft grassy spot to do pushups. Checking the amount of push ups I needed to gain a stat point before I started, and finding the amount of push ups had increased from one thousand to two thousand per stat point. Then I checked my speed stat.
