I didn't know what I was going to find. I didn't care. I wasn't in a hurry to finish off this floor of the dungeon. Time moved faster in dungeons then it did the real world. My exercises, and sleep would take less time in here then it would in the real world.

I didn't know what circle of hell I was walking into next, but some twisted violent part of myself loved it. I walked deeper into the dungeon. I smirked slightly as I listened to the quiet of the dungeon. I crossed the distance between the quiet, and me quickly. Planning to come back for the crystals later.

I had no intention of leaving such a small wealth of power behind. I walked into the dark quietly. I smiled to myself as I walked. Instinct told me there was danger ahead, and that made me want to go faster.

Johnny

She didn't come back. Gideon told everyone that she went berserk, and attacked him. That he killed her. I didn't believe that for a second. She'd always been stronger then him.

Lily was the strongest person I knew. I'd started doubting myself after a while. Then I remembered what she said about the guy in charge here. She told me not to trust him. That he was a bad guy.

I frowned to myself as I thought about it. What did I really know about her? She'd saved us when she didn't know us. She'd come running in to save the day, and gotten us out of that house. We would have died if she had left us.

I didn't know what had happened to her, but I was going to trust the person that saved me more then some random guy we met in this camp. I would keep watching them both, and keep an eye on them until she came back. I wasn't old enough to awaken, and maybe I wouldn't awaken at all. I had never wished I was a year older so hard in my life. I just needed to ask questions, and see if I could trip them up like I saw in my mom's favorite crime shows.

I always thought they were stupid, and boring, but now I tried to remember every minute of the shows. I was tired, and I wanted to talk to her again. She was keeping things from me, but I didn't think she was planning on leaving me behind. I crossed my fingers, and prayed that she would come back fast. I needed to look after my little brother.

Once she came back I would need to be able to keep up. I needed to get stronger. I needed to do my jobs, and make sure they wouldn't throw Sam, and me out.

Lilian

I chuckled to myself as I sat atop my pile of bodies. I looked at the nest before me. I'd just finished the last wave of insects. It would be a while before the nest decided to spit out another hundred. My eyes had long adjusted to the darkness, and my senses were at their peak.

I was using the nest to farm strength. I'd been apprehensive about approaching the nest. It was frightening to have all the bugs coming at me at once. Once I realized that the nest gave me a few hours between each wave I started to explore. Each kill granted me a minimal amount of experience.

Something stupid like ten. That wasn't the part that mattered to me. The part that mattered was each one still counted towards hatching the dragon egg. The goblin armor was working. It reinforced my entire body to a degree.

My exposed skin was weaker then the armor, but stronger then normal. The flying ones could barely pierce my skin, and the walking ones didn't do much damage. I'd explored the entire first floor. The cores I so badly wanted to take with me had turned to dust after an hour. Too weak to sustain themselves once the monster was dead.

I was having a little too much fun doing all of this. That feeling only intensified with each kill. I knew for sure now that the dragon egg was affecting me. I frowned to myself as I realized the implications of being changed by a completely separate being. My body tensed up as a feeling of danger came over me.

Something was different this time. The dungeon couldn't overwhelm me with numbers so it was going to do something different. I guess I shouldn't have sat here wondering why it was so easy. The nest cracked open as I danced out of the reach of the creature that was breaking it apart. It had the claws of a crab, and the body of an ant, but it's head was more like that of a spider.

It had six legs if I didn't count the four crab arms. I dodged the big pincers again as it screeched, and swiped at me. The smaller set of pincers was way faster, but it wasn't as strong. I just needed to stay out of it's reach. I frowned to myself.

This thing would be an actual challenge. It was too big to move around well even in this large chamber. That gave me problem number three. Too big to move around meant I didn't have much room to move away either. I had a feeling I didn't want this thing to have room to move around.

I rushed into battle using the walls around me to move around it's pincers as fast as I could. I could only move so fast, and for the most part it was fast enough. Those faster pincers were faster then me. It was doing the best it could to move it's smaller pincers close enough to grab me. I frowned to myself.

Now it was starting to make more sense. This dungeon was actually as hard as it said it was, and I didn't have any proper weapons so this whole fight was going to be hell. I took advantage of every single opportunity to get away from this thing without bringing it somewhere it could use. It screeched a second time. Making it feel as if my ears were going to bleed.
