Almost a month later the notification had appeared to all qualified viewers.
Of course, time hadn't passed the same for everyone — in one world, it had only been a week; in another two weeks, and in a few others, just a few days.
Naturally, for his biggest audience in Marvel, it had been a full month, but most people close to Allen knew he was on some sort of vacation, and the girls closest to him could contact him or visit his house directly. That was the case with Rogue, Jean, Cate, and even Kitty, who had stopped by his apartment when they realized their teacher wasn't bothering to show up at the X-Mansion.
When the stream connection resumed, everyone burst with excitement as if it had been years...
PercyJ – Oh shit, he really came back!
McDragon – Tsk, for a second I thought some chick had stabbed you. It would've been a fitting end...
"Heh, well.. one girl bit my neck. Does that count?"
McDragon – DAMN IT!
Kratos – Good to see you alive.
"Thanks?"
DoomGuy – Welcome back...
"...!"
Rick – Damn, even Doom Slayer talked. That's gotta be a sign *burp* to stop slacking off.
Unohana – I hope it was a good rest. You only visited once and it was a bit sad.
"..." In fact, one time he visited Unohana, he stayed for a week, but he did not say so.
Rangiku – He was probably busy all this time. Are we about to see Allen Jr. show up soon?~
"Hey"
Aphrodite – No! That's way too unfair!
Hestia – You don't even try to hide how thirsty you are…
Akeno – Ufufu~ It was so lonely not seeing you every day~
"Haha, sorry"
Rias – For a moment, I thought something had happened to you…
"Yeah, I'm fine, don't worry"
Kate – In our world, it was only a few days, so I figured you were fine~
Samantha – My Emperor will always be fine ❤️~
Eve – I'm embarrassed to say something like this, but I'm glad you're okay.
"Thank you, Kate, Eve, and Samantha"
Hippolyta – I'm not sure whether it's my sister or my daughter who missed you more haha~
Antiope – Maybe you're the one who missed him most...
"Cough"
Kara – Wait, you're in Metropolis?! I'm coming to get you right now~
Rogue – She doesn't even try to hide it...
It was a warm welcome from his chat, from his viewers — many of whom had become friends. It was something expected after such a long time apart. But no one imagined that what seemed like just another fun adventure (a little trip somewhere interesting) would turn into a nightmare.
...
MJ screamed, and Gwen nearly fainted.
Among the girls, they were the ones who best understood the identity of who Allen was facing.
The chat exploded with panic:
– Get out of there!
– Run!
– Don't fight!
– Just surrender!
Allen knew better than anyone…
These weren't jokes.
They weren't exaggerations...
They were just reality.
Lucifer Morningstar...
Among all kinds of entities — cosmic, divine, abstract, and of course, demonic — of all the beings he could have possibly encountered, of all the villains (even though he wasn't one)...
He ended up facing Lucifer.
And while Lucifer is terrifying in any universe, Allen could never compare the DC version to the rest.
This man, with an elegant demeanor, stopped Allen's attack and destroyed his sword in the process...
This man in a suit who appeared serene…
This demon, once an angel, stood above any existing entity — second only to "The Presence" and maybe on par with one or two others.
Allen smiled. But it wasn't his usual calm, confident, smug, proud, or even mocking smile. It was a forced smile, as a bead of sweat ran down his cheek.
This expression was clearly visible through the live stream. If Allen had had even a second to process what was happening, he would've ended the stream instantly — but he couldn't.
He couldn't afford even the slightest distraction.
Not against him...
'He's blonde...' Allen thought, ironically, 'If only he had black hair, maybe I could...'
But this Lucifer, the Lucifer from the comics...
"Allen Walker, God's most beloved son..."
"..." Allen paused, his guard never dropping.
"I don't know what you're talking about... and for your information, my actions aren't exactly what God would approve of."
Lucifer's eyes shimmered as if seeing something hidden.
"Of course... You no longer fit the ideal of goodness. From another perspective, you could be called a monster... and yet, you're loved. Which is unusual..."
"What are you talking about?" Allen frowned.
Lucifer shouldn't be interested in someone like him. It made no sense.
"Don't worry, I'm just thinking out loud. It's not the first time I've seen someone like you, but usually, they don't have a "past" But I suppose it doesn't matter,"
"I see..." Allen's gaze remained calm, his guard still perfect.
Allen glanced at Zatanna. Her eyes were watery and filled with guilt. She looked worn down. Her clothes were torn and scratched.
"...!" Allen's heart turned cold. The fear vanished. His expression calmed, his heartbeat slowed…
"Oh, you're having dangerous thoughts… young man." Lucifer smiled. A genuine, amused smile. He had a smile on his face to see someone who despite knowing exactly who he is up against, dares to stand his ground.
"Heh~" One look into Allen's eyes was enough for Lucifer to understand what he was thinking.
Others tried to stop him... but Allen ignored the voices in the Chat; this time, he couldn't listen to them.
'System...'
[Yes...]
The system's voice was calm.
She didn't shout. She didn't try to stop Allen.
She said nothing until he called her.
And when he did, she responded softly.
She knew it was impossible to stop him.
She knew that with Allen's personality, he would never stay quiet or back down seeing his woman in that condition.
'Can I ask you something?'
[Yes… whatever you wish.]
'I...'
Allen had never spoken words more difficult to hear, nor had the system ever received a request so heavy...
[... I'll do it.]
Allen smiled briefly, then narrowed his eyes, "Don't worry..."
'Huh?'
Zatanna, while apologizing in her heart, opened her eyes wide with disbelief and astonishment.
'What are you doing?'
Even in her mind, her broken voice couldn't comprehend what she was seeing — a man willing to rescue her.
Why?
He should know what kind of monster he was up against. He should know how absurdly dangerous he was. They'd only met once.
"Why?" Zatanna murmured.
The one who answered wasn't Allen, but Lucifer.
"The life of a man like him is complicated... All it takes is the tiniest emotional connection and the smallest longing, and a man like that will risk everything to save you. You're very lucky."
Zatanna's eyes filled with tears. There was no blame in Allen's eyes, only silent comfort. And maybe... a scolding,
"Why didn't you call me sooner?"
...
In an instant, everything collapsed!
Allen opened his eyes and vanished, moving at the speed of light...
"Well~" Lucifer smiled... and even faster than Allen, snapped his fingers.
Lucifer's Bar disappeared, with Allen still in the air.
The entire scenery shifted again...
This time, it was a completely empty space, seemingly endless. The sky was pitch black, devoid of stars. The ground was white and radiant.
"It's a bit plain, but it'll do," Lucifer said as he extended his hand to stop Allen's kick.
Allen gritted his teeth, trying to push forward with his attack, but Lucifer stopped his foot effortlessly. Then came a punch to Allen's stomach that sent him crashing through the endless white floor at absurd speed.
"Ugh!"
His defenses didn't work.
His barriers shattered like paper.
Infinity meant nothing — because no matter the distance, Lucifer could still reach him.
That's how irrational this nearly omnipotent existence was.
With no reference points, there was no way to know how far Allen had flown before stopping.
His eyes were bloodshot, and he coughed up blood. He clutched his stomach. Only Allen himself knew just how hard that hit had been.
'Doesn't matter! Get up!' Allen shouted to himself and stood.
At that moment, Lucifer was already standing in front of him.
Allen unleashed the power of Sentry, fused with the flame that devours fire — the Aurora Flame — creating a massive sun with the density of a million suns.
Lucifer remained calm.
The sun shrank and concentrated in Allen's palm. Without hesitation, he launched the attack. His hand was incinerated in the process.
"AHHH!", Allen screamed with fury.
"Son, do you know why my last name is Morningstar?", He laughed.
Lucifer extended his arm again and caught the compressed star in his hand. Then, he kicked Allen so hard that it destroyed several of his organs and sent him flying.
Allen used a save point. He stood back up, ready to continue the fight. But then he saw something that froze him to his core.
Lucifer held the star in his hand... Brought it to his lips... And blew it out — Snuffing out a million suns like birthday candles.
"...!" For a moment, Allen was paralyzed. In all his battles, in every fight... It was the first time he truly felt... That victory was impossible.
NO!
Allen shook the thought from his head.
It wasn't about whether he could win or not —
He had to.
"That's a good look in your eyes..."
Lucifer appeared behind him and kicked Allen in the ribs. It pierced through all defenses, launching him again and leaving him badly wounded.
"Urgh..." Once more, Allen was on the ground.
But then...
"...!?" His heart froze — and was filled with terror — When he heard something completely unexpected.
"DAMN YOU! HOW DARE YOU?!"
Allen opened his eyes and saw Albedo had disobeyed the order and attacked Lucifer. As a reminder, the dolls are incapable of disobeying Allen's commands. At first, Allen refused to give them orders, but over time, he did—though only in important situations. Yet now, Albedo had broken free of that control, doing so solely to protect him.
"Stop!" Allen shouted.
Albedo charged at Lucifer with her giant battle axe, but the moment it hit him, it shattered into a thousand pieces.
"It's incredible how much loyalty and love you can stir in a woman… Allen."
Lucifer extended his hand as Albedo's expression turned desperate. She knew this opponent was far beyond her, but she hadn't imagined the gap would be this vast.
At that moment, chains appeared and wrapped around Lucifer, but they broke almost instantly—except for one. He grabbed it and sent a surge of energy through it, causing Makima to appear. She was already bleeding from her eyes, nose, and mouth, but her gaze remained resolute.
Then, 2B and Esdeath made their move. Both of them slashed Lucifer's neck with their katanas—but once again, their weapons shattered without even wrinkling Lucifer's clothes. The man smiled, and the four girls began to bleed.
Furious, Allen used his control to force them to retreat…
Then, he attacked Lucifer, divine ki surging around him. Allen's punch—equal to that of a God of Destruction—was casually stopped by Lucifer's palm. Then, he smiled and twisted his wrist, snapping Allen's arm, before grabbing him by the neck.
"Let him go!"
This time, Artoria appeared! Wielding the Lance of the World, she released all restraints and struck Lucifer in the heart. But the weight of the world meant nothing to Lucifer—a being who carried all of God's creation in his hands, including the infinite cosmos of the Multiverse.
Wednesday appeared behind Lucifer and placed a hand on his back, aiming to attack his heart—but the magic was destroyed. Rhongomyniad shattered too. Then, both were blown away by an invisible force. Allen's heart dropped—he knew they had been hurt.
"You bastard!"
Allen's power surged as he removed his limiter and used his cursed technique to massively boost his infinite growth. At the same time, he activated Ultra Ego.
With such overwhelming power that the dimension trembled to the point of collapse, he attacked Lucifer. Each punch cracked the space around them. Lucifer looked genuinely concerned as he blocked Allen's strikes.
"I created this place to be as vast as a universe… seems like that's not enough…"
With a declaration that brought only despair to the onlookers, Lucifer snapped his fingers—and the space calmed. In an instant, this man could create entire universes, destroy them, and reshape them at will…
Allen didn't care. He kept attacking.
"I don't care how powerful you are… anyone who hurts my loved ones won't live in peace!"
"That sounds unpleasant. I like peace…"
Lucifer punched Allen in the stomach. Instead of powering up, Allen's transformation vanished. He dropped to his knees and vomited blood.
"No!!"
More dolls appeared—this time it was Rebecca. With tears of rage in her eyes, she threw three devices at Lucifer's feet. They looked hastily built. A barrier surrounded Lucifer.
"Oh, a six-dimensional barrier… This shouldn't be possible for a human. Is this… the power of love?"
Lucifer touched the barrier—it shattered instantly. Rebecca and Harley stood in front of Allen, firing their weapons at Lucifer. The monster who recreated a dimension with a snap wasn't going to be hurt by bullets—but the girls weren't thinking rationally.
Allen used a save point to retreat. Then, he sacrificed a thousand fragments to temporarily multiply his base power by a thousand. He immediately knocked out Harley and Rebecca. The latter had a look of determination as she fell.
"Please…" Allen said to the two girls behind him—Jalter and Kurumi. They were carrying Nokotan and Bocchi asleep over their shoulders. Kurumi remained silent, looking away from Allen. Two of her clones appeared and carried the girls.
Jalter remained quiet, tightening her grip on her weapon—but Allen appeared beside her and knocked her unconscious as well. Another Kurumi clone appeared and carried Jalter and Bocchi. Before leaving, she murmured,
"Don't forget your promise… You said you'd lend me your power…"
...
"That's impressive…" Lucifer muttered. From beginning to end, this man had never shown worry—but the level of power Allen had reached using the fragments was remarkable.
Allen disappeared and reappeared in front of Lucifer. For the first time, he caught him off guard and punched him in the face. The massive impact cracked the sky, the earth, and the very fabric of the dimension.
"Don't talk. I'm not in the mood…" Allen said coldly.
But his eyes widened—Lucifer looked at him with glowing eyes. Without a word, Lucifer punched Allen in the stomach, then in the face, the chest, and again the face.
It didn't matter…
Even with Allen's power multiplied a thousand times—he couldn't match Lucifer…
He was too powerful…
Allen rolled until he landed face-down, coughing up blood and several teeth.
"Did you really think you could win?"
Lucifer wasn't mocking—he was genuinely curious. Allen knew exactly what Lucifer was capable of. Did he truly believe he could beat this Lucifer?
"I told you already…" Allen smiled, resetting his dislocated jaw. "It's not about believing… It's about knowing I have to do it!"
Allen drew Lenalee—his second Zanpakuto.
"No matter the cost!"
Lucifer narrowed his eyes. "A beautiful companion in this life…"
Allen ignored him and gritted his teeth.
"Bankai!"
There was no explosion of power.
No surge of energy.
No change in the world.
But the moment Allen used his Bankai for the first time… something was different.
His Zanpakuto was covered in darkness, as was his hand. Allen's hair, which had turned black in his natural state, began to lose its color. His wine-red eyes returned to gray.
Lucifer tilted his head, then smiled. "You're that desperate–"
Before he could finish, a slash landed on his shoulder—this time, blood spilled. Lucifer was stunned, and he glanced beside Allen, where the darkness faded.
"What a pain…" said a cold, arrogant voice. Intense scarlet eyes stared at Allen.
"How pathetic!"
"Shut up… Void," Allen replied, standing back up.
Lucifer grinned wider. "This might actually get interesting!"
Void vanished—then reappeared in front of Lucifer, his fist ready to strike. Lucifer countered, disintegrating Void's arm, but Void instantly regenerated it without flinching and continued his assault. The punch connected.
"...!" Allen appeared at that moment and landed a kick that—for the first time—sent Lucifer flying.
Allen had no more tricks left.
If he couldn't win with Void's help…
It was game over.
That's why he had to win!
