Teenage Stage: Elegant selfish

POV Kirijima Ritsuko

Ritsuko: *Uff* I've really enjoyed this day.

Stretching my body I started to relax my face showing a full smile.

Ritsuko: *fufufufufufufufu* "Teachers only know how to yell at children, they needed a life lesson to have some empathy "

Holding my mouth with my fingers I held back the evil laugh that naturally came out.

Ritsuko: "Now I just want to go get my mommy and daughter for some dinner on this nice day I want to eat Unagi (鰻 ) I know mommy will like it maybe order some Unadon (鰻丼) for dinner."

Taking little jumps the heels I was wearing sounded every time I jumped giving a rhythm to my jumps I started humming

Ritsuko: *mmmmhmh* "Although I also want to invite those two I wonder if they would like to eat eel?..."

Stopping my skipping I start touching my chin while looking up at the sky searching for a cloud with my eyes

Ritsuko: Well, we'll figure it out later.

Naoko: Everything has a quick solution Kirijima-chan

As I turned around a familiar silhouette appeared in front of me a man with medium height.

He had a small mouth, his shoulders were erect like any good teacher, black hair with brown eyes, he was wearing a white shirt with a red tie, blue pants and black shoes, his appearance was not remarkable, he was a complete teacher.

Ritsuko: Naoko-dono I didn't expect to see you here, I thought you were busy with work that's why you didn't come to the meeting today.

Naoko: I decided to leave work early, there is something important I wanted to tell you.

As I turned to see the man standing behind me I looked him straight in the eyes.

Ritsuko: And what would be so...?

Naoko: I love her please escape with me

Ritsuko: What?

I carved my eyes and looked at the man in front of me.

Ritsuko: I guess I didn't hear you clearly because...

 Naoko: Escape with me please

Ritsuko: *Sigh* I refuse bye bye...

Naoko: Wait a moment...

As I pulled away from Naoko the man tried to force his way closer...

Naoko: At least listen to my confession.

Ritsuko: There's no point in listening to a man like you, get lost by yourself.

My face felt like it was tightening into a face of complete displeasure as I listened to him.

Naoko: You don't understand... I see you as the perfect wife, of course you can bring your children with you, I think they are the perfect image...

Ritsuko: I refuse

Naoko: Come on you can understand, you can't leave your children without a father, they deserve to grow up with a male figure by their side.

Ritsuko: Honest words from an awful man.

Taking some distance between us I start to turn around.

Naoko: She must feel lonely for not having comfort from a man plus Maki-chan and Kai-kun need to be guided to be better people.

Ritsuko: Oohh

Stopping my steps abruptly I looked at Naoko again feeling a bit angry at her words.

Ritsuko: My children?

Naoko: Sure, if you listen to my plan it's so easy to come to an agreement that it's scary how things work out so well.

Nodding to Naoko, I cross my arms and nod a little at her words.

Naoko: Listen I'm not just a school teacher I'm also the heir to a large sum of money but I need a good wife by my side so I met you.

Naoko: I heard from a private investigator that you had a lot of debts because of your children, don't worry, the plan is simple, I have a wife and a daughter who get along well with your eldest daughter, we don't need her, she is very scary and because of her, they generated a lot of debts in the hospital and the bank didn't forgive you.

Clutching my arms I nodded at Naoko's comment.

Naoko: Don't worry later if you come with me and our 'children' we will be a perfect Japanese family, although I would like to have one of my own I thank your ex-husband for bringing out the worst genes in just one of us all.

Naoko: What do you say 'Ritsuko-chan'?

Nodding at the man's words I touched my jaw looking at the wall to my left.

Ritsuko: I don't think it's a bad proposal.

Naoko: *ugh* good that you understand my point then I won't need to tell you the disadvantages of not following my plan....

Naoko: Although it's not bad to clarify everything from the beginning.

Naoko's tone of voice seemed more serious than before.

Naoko: It's simple, you must obey me so that your children won't find out what kind of a bitch you were in high school, besides finding out about your husband's past I'm sure your son will be disappointed by a father like that so I'll set a good example to the only children who are worthwhile.

Ritsuko: I should have thought about it before... I didn't know how they would react...

Slapping my forehead with the palm of my hand, I relaxed my face with a smile.

Naoko: Relax Ritsuko-chan, a woman should do what's best for her family...

Ritsuko: The specialty of the day was katsudon (カツ丼) no one hates it so no one would be upset about eating at the restaurant.

Naoko: What did you say?

Raising my arms in excitement I directed an excited look at Naoko while my voice sounded energetic.

Ritsuko: To invite someone to eat you must have a plan B. I think I'm some kind of genius so I can eat all the unagi I want without disturbing my guests.

Naoko: Are you even listening to me?

Switching to my direction Naoko stops in front of me I started to look at him lowering my gaze to look him in the eyes.

Naoko: You should listen to what I'm saying, you don't want to end up like a...

Ritsuko: *Plat plat* Aye aye I heard you already but I waste my time listening to you.

Clapping my hands in Naoko's direction I felt my face tighten up.

Naoko: You know that my threats...

Ritsuko: I don't care if they're yours they're just a pain in the ass to hear how you plan to blackmail me.

Naoko: What?

Ritsuko: You know, I like honest people but your honesty is starting to piss me off.

Naoko: What do you...

Ritsuko: Your appearance, the way you talk and now the way you act represent what you are a simple coward who tries to feel superior to other people.

My steps were firm as I approached a little bit Naoko took a step backwards.

Ritsuko: Tell me, what's the point of trying to blackmail a bitch who knows what she wants to do with her life?

Ritsuko: You think just a few words from you will change my lifestyle? Don't put yourself on such a high pedestal.

Walking I started to click my heels as Naoko started to take another step back my face, I felt my forehead wrinkle as my eyes started to show sharp.

Ritsuko: You can tell my children how I was in the past and how my husband was before we got married they won't be disappointed, besides you still being alive even after investigating my husband shows how minuscule your threat is, even calling you a dog would be a compliment at this point.

Ritsuko: Everything you said is so boring that I just get lost in my thoughts so as not to waste my time, however, there is only one thing I'm upset about

Backing up in front of me was Naoko with an upright posture still giving her a fura look with displeasure.

Ritsuko: There's nothing wrong with my daughter, she's just a sweet girl who doesn't know how to express herself, she's as important as my other children and the fact that you look at her like she's an object shows that you're not worth a horse shit by not knowing how to have empathy for others.

Ritsuko: You're not a man, calling you an animal would be giving you an identity which you don't have, you're no good here, if you want to escape with someone you better find yourself an identity as a living being before talking to me like that.

Stumbling over something Naoko fell on her buttocks looking down at me starting to tremble I was clinging to her leg trying to back away.

Ritsuko: Have some dignity as a coward and learn to run away. If you want to annoy someone, you better try to annoy yourself.

Ritsuko: So I'll be clear again, try to get close to my family and I'll personally take you to jail so you'll know the meaning of being vulnerable for the first time in your life.

Naoko: No.... you can't... that would be...

Ritsuko: I think your wife looks very young for someone your age if I gather evidence I can ask a certain person to give you a punishment commensurate with your actions.

When Naoko fell silent I just watched her body shaking.

Turning around I continued on my way to the other end of the street.

POV MC (Kirijima Kaito)

Looking at the big bowl in front of me I notice how the eel was sweating the juices with what was cooked with a brown sauce before being served in the bowl of white rice, my hands were holding wooden chopsticks giving a little prayer next to grandmother

Kaito: "Grandma can't help but give a prayer before eating she has nice voice for that".

Looking sideways in front of me sat Saeko, Aunt Maciej and my mother Ritsuko clasping their hands together.

Kaito: "I think she was a miko* in the past so it's normal for her to have these habits."

Hearing how he finished the sentence, everyone at the table started clapping.

All: ~itadakimasu (いただきます thank you for food)~.

Separating the chopsticks in a way I grab the bowl that was in front of me.

Kaito: *sigh* "I guess I just caused trouble for the others."

Looking at Saeko's face she looks happier as she takes a big piece of cutlet to her mouth to chew it.

Kaito: "I think I worried Saeko and auntie by having such a bitter expression earlier, well I can't help but be this angry hearing the big age difference between Saeko's parents."

Kaito: "As a man there are limits that can be made and there are also some that must be marked I can't help but show my displeasure to hear how a man like the uncle is with someone like the aunt."

Lowering my gaze I look at my fingers so thin gray as I extend my hands to hold the chopsticks.

Kaito: "Well, I'm being hypocritical to think so [I'm an adult in a child's body], I was born with many advantages by inheriting my father's and mother's genes my face tends to look well defined but by reincarnating I think I inherited some of [my qualities that]..."

When I felt a hand on my shoulder I turned my gaze and raised my face to look at the person who was touching me.

Grandmother: Son, don't get distracted, we are eating and you are only looking at your plate.

Kaito: I'm sorry... I just...

Grandma: You're growing and you need protein and...

With her usual expressionless face she bent down to look me directly in the eyes, noticing her tone of voice and her cheeks was with a tone of seriousness to talk to me

Grandmother: I have told you to pay attention to what we do even if we pray you must focus on what is in front of you.

Kaito: "I notice?" Excuse me...

Grandmother: You'd better start acting instead of just saying it son.

Fixing the hair on his forehead, he returns to his firm posture to start eating.

Grandmother: Son, if something bothers you better ignore it now, you should pay attention to your family.

Masaki: *nom nom*Listen to Grandma Niinii you don't want to stay forever in that dwarf body.

Looking in the opposite direction my little sister Masaki had a lot of rice in her mouth as she spoke.

Kaito: Maki-chan you...

Grandmother: *shh*

Seeing the index finger on my lips I turned to look at my grandmother, her hand reached up to my face to hold my chin at the bottom.

Grandmother: Then you can settle your business
