They soon reached the MGM studio in the Beverly Hills. It was a grand building. Richard said:
" Call me when you are finished. I will pick you up and don't worry. This is not the last audition. We have plenty of more projects to look to."
Amy nodded and gave Richard a light hug, and got out of the car. She went to the receptionist.
" Hello, I am here for the audition of movie "Legally blonde". Can you tell where I have to go."
Receptionist looked at the amazing blonde in front of her with awe. Among all the girls who came here for audition today, this one is the most beautiful without a doubt.
She mantained her professional smile and said, "The auditions are on the fourth floor, you can there. There will be a person to further guide you."
Amy nodded and turned away to go for the audition, the receptionist said to her from behind:
" By the way, you look very beautiful. I hope you can get the role."
Amy turned back and gave her a charming bright smile, "Thank you."
...
As Amy stepped on the fourth floor, she was surprised by the people who came for the audition. There were about more than 80 girls. The fourth floor was full of girls of about same ages between eighteen to twenty-five. Amy found herself to be the youngest one.
Amy's arrival didn't caught much attention as everyone was busy thinking about themselves and no one wants to praise the beauty of an opponent.
A person who seems to be a worker here came to Amy and said: " You can come with me to the desk for audition application."
Amy went with him. He only took some of the most basic information as name, age or previous work. Amy told about her role in 'Memento'. His behavior was very professional. He gave Amy a token.
" You can wait in the lounge. I will call you on your turn."
Amy saw that her audition number was 59. It was pretty late. At present, audition of number 38 was going on. Amy went to the lounge and sat on an empty chair and read the script in her hand to reherse for the role. The girls nearby looked at her and there were small gossips.
"Hey, look at her. She looks relaxed."
" Does she think if she is beautiful, then she can get the role. It must be her first audition, that's why she is in such a relaxed state."
"No matter what, she's really beautiful. I just hope her acting may be very bad."
Amy wasn't bothered by the voices around her, she was looking at a girl sitting in her front row. She identified the girl. She's Reese Witherspoon, the one who played the role of Elie in previous life.
In fact, she's not as relaxed as others think she is. She's still very nervous in her heart but she's trying not to show it and control it. It is the duty of an actor to have self control and patience.
The auditiona went on by and many girls even ran outside crying. Reese witherspoon audition had also been
done. She looked quite happy after exiting the audition office. This made Amy even more nervous.
There was a discussion going on in the office.
"I am satisfied with witherspoon playing the role of Elie. I think she played well." said writer Amanda Brown.
Director Robert also agreed with this. Producer Ric Kidney looked beside him and asked:
"What do you think Mrac, do you also agree?"
At this, Director Luketic and Writer Amanda Brown both looked over. The most of the power to lead this project belongs to producer Mrac after MGM. so his opinion holds very much value. Marc Platt looked at everyone and said:
" I think Reese witherspoon is good and she has performed better than others in the audition. She has also previously acted and is not a newcomer."
Writer Brown was happy at this and Director Luketic nodded. To him it doesn't matter who plays the role, the only requirement for the actor is to be suitable. Writer brown was about to say something but Marc continued:
" But I cannot say anything final. There's one more person whom I have to see. Only after it, I can give my final answer."
" but witherspoon is very good." ,Brown wanted to say more but Marc interjected :
" I didn't say she performed bad. I am only saying that there is someone else whose audition I want to see before making a decision."
After that, he glanced coldly at Writer Amanda Brown. She also knew that she has overstepped her rights and was only here today as she is the writer. Otherwise, she doesn't have any real power in casting. So she remained silent.
There was a silence in the room.
