Buying a House

Amy stepped out of the car with Mary beside her. Richard was ready waiting for them, she gave him a light hug and asked, "Has the real estate agent arrived?"

Richard responded back with a light hug too, "He's already there at the first house waiting, let's go."

They went inside and met the real estate agent. Amy is going to buy house in Beverly Hills. Although the house she currently lives in also belong to her after her parents death, but Richard said that it was in a open community and safety and protection measures were not enough for the level of stars. He suggested buying house in a private community or rent it. In the end, they went for Beverly Hills, after all there's no better place for actors to live than it. It is safe, private, grand and beautiful. Most of the big celebrities live in Beverly Hills.

As for the matter of buying or renting, Amy simply went for the option of buying. She has made a fortune from "Memento" recently, both as an actor and investor. Although she could ask money from grandfather or simply ask him to let her use her parent's fortune, but she didn't. She doesn't have much contact with the family, so she didn't bother them either with her things.

The agent introduced them to the first house, "This Mediterranean style villa on Mullholland road covers an area of 1.5 acres with 5 bedrooms, two separate reception areas, a large front garden and an outdoor swimming pool with automatic heating system. It used to be the love nest of Richard Gere and Cindy Crawford, which Cindy got after their divorce. She thought it was too big and a little away from city, so she decided to sell it." while talking, agent opened the floor-to-ceiling windows, "Look, from here you can see the whole Beverly Hills and Los Angeles. Its an excellent place for a view."

"The scenery is good, but there's nothing special." Amy stood on the ceiling and spoke, "What do you think?"

"I also think the same. And its too open for you. You cannot use out door pool, as to to not be captured by Paparazzi. Although they are prohibited in Beverly Hills, but we cannot take risks." Richard firmly rejected the villa.

Amy nodded and agreed with Richard's words. Agent approached Amy and spoke, "I have some more houses. Let's see them."

After that, they visited many more houses but they all were rejected due to various reasons. Some of them were not liked by Amy because of their design, while others were rejected by Richard due to privacy and safety issues. In the end, they had viewed almost all the recommended houses by the real estate agent, but they were not satisfied.

"It seems that we have to look somewhere else." Amy said a little disappointed. She was excited on buying her first house, but now it seems not possible.

Real estate agent was also a little anxious and desperate now. He seemed to though of something and said, "There's one more house. I think you will be satisfied with it."

"Then show it." said Richard.

"But there's a little thing about it." agent was also struggling a little.

"What problem."

"Its a little more expensive then these houses." real estate agent said.

"How much."

"10 million $ approximately."

"Ahh.. " both Richard and Mary screamed. This was not their fault because the price told by dealer was way too much.

Amy who was quiet the whole time seems to be thinking something. She thought for a while and said, "Ok, show it. If its really good then I will buy it."

The agent was overjoyed and immediately took them to the house. He introduced them to the house: "This European style villa mixed with a little Greek look is 1.9 acres in area (9980 square kilometers). It has eight 8 bedrooms, a large living room, a gym, medium sized theater, three guest rooms and two independent guest houses. It has two swimming pools, one indoor and other outdoor. There is a large garden built on the front with the forest theme and an artificial lake. And most importantly, it is covered with large green trees and iron fences, so it is the most secure and private. You have to drive a little to reach the main residence from the entrance with security cameras everywhere on the track and guards guarding the gate."

"So beautiful." both Richard and Mary were mesimorizerd by the villa. Even Amy who was calm from the beginning was now deeply impressed by the Villa. This house fulfill all her needs from beauty, Majesty, safety, privacy and luxury.

Seeing that they were liking the building, Agent immediately said more, "This house was built as a twin house with the same style and area as the one next to it. This one has a big garden and lake, while the other one has basketball court, badminton court, etc. There is a small entrance connecting the two houses from middle, but we will close it after someone buys the house."

"Who owns the other house."

"Don't say to anyone. Its the owner's privacy. But I'm telling you. Its Tom Cruise." said Agent in a low voice.

"Oh.. " an impressive name in Hollywood, Amy thought. "You can start the procedures. I will buy the house."

After that, Amy left with Richard and Mary. The real estate agent happily went back to the office to make legal papers in happiness of securing such a big purchase.

On the way back, Richard asked : "Do you really want to buy it. Its beautiful but too expensive."

"Yes, but I like it very much from the first sight. As for being expensive, haven't I made a profit from Memento."
