Tom's invitation

Amy looked at Richard, "Nolan will send you a script for the movie. I am planning to accept it."

Richard who was lying weakly on the sofa was immediately energetic: "Which movie is it, and why don't I know it before. What's the role."

"I also learned from him today about it. The story seemed pretty good and its the role of a cop."

"Amy, isn't it too hasty. Is audience ready to see you in the role of a police officer." Richard was a little worried. Amy's all three movies are sweet roles till now. First one was a supporting role in "Memento", the second one Ellie in "Legally Blonde" was totally a sweetheart style and even the third one Jeannie in "A walk to remember" is a total romantic character.

"I don't know, but I have to try it. The important thing is that I will not be totally leading the movie like I did as Elle. The lead role is going to be played by Al Pacino and I am playing opposite of him." Amy explained the situation.

"What.. what did you say?" Richard's scream sounded.

Amy knew he was over-reacting again, but still repeated herself: "I said the lead role of the movie is going to be Al Pacino."

"Of course you have to play it. Why didn't you say before."

"I was going to say but you didn't even give me the chance." Amy glared at Richard.

"I admit my mistake. Its okay. When is Christopher Nolan going to sendthe script." Richard asked excitedly.

"He said he will send it tomorrow and at least, close your mouth. Saliva is dripping of it." Amy said a little disgusted. She could imagine what Richard's thinking in his mind with the look on his face. Although Amy has given two hit movies in a row, she is still considered a sweet girl idol image. That's the reason why most of the scripts she's been receiving are mostly rom-coms and teen movies.

No matter how successful she becomes in such movies, her image will not change until she play a proper role in a literary film. She also has to consider the pros and cons of this transistion. If the audience likes her in the new aura, then its a success. But if it fails like more than ninty percent of the other stars, then she has to struggle like other failed idols. Most of the teen idols doesn't touch transistion so early and try to hone their acting skills even till the age of 30, but Amy has no such concerns. One shouldn't forget that in the past, without her such beautiful appearence, she has worked in theaters for more than 10 years and has survived all the way with her acting only. That's why, Amy's very confident about her acting skills.

Richard and Mary left after a while and Amy had a hearty sleep. The next morning, when Amy woke up, it was 12 o'clock on the wall clock. Getting out of the bed, Amy took a shower, changed clothes and went to the dining room for the breakfast.

While checking her phone, she saw 4 calls from Tom.

Amy put aside other things and called Tom. The call was connected in few seconds. A pleasent voice came from the other end: "Looks like someone's enjoying their day by sleeping."

Amy smiled and answered: "Of course not, its just that I went to bed late last night. I just checked the phone and there were four missed calls from you. Is there something important."

"Very important. If you have time then I would like to talk to you about it at the dinner at my house."

"I will come. Anyway, I am free today. But can you tell me the work earlier." asked Amy.

"I can't tell on the phone. I will be waiting for you by 8 pm." Tom said and cut off the call.

Amy looked at the phone in her hand a little lost. She was expecting maybe Tom would wish her on her Birthday. It seemed that she was dreaming too much. He must have other things. Although they talk a lot lately, but how can he remember something she just said two months ago.

Suddenly, the phone sounded again. Amy picked up excitedly thinking maybe Tom remembered it now. When she saw the name on display, her already upset mood got even more worse. Amy picked up the phone and asked impatiently: "Why did you call Richard? Tell me its something important."

Richard who called Amy to give a good news was scolded before he could even speak. He asked: "What's the matter. You sound unhappy."

"No, its nothing. Tell me why you called."

Richard knew that there must be something. But if Amy doesn't want to tell, he won't ask either as a sign of privacy. He said his purpose: "I have received the script from Chris Nolan. Its pretty good and I think its a good match for you. The studio called to sign the contract tomorrow. It seems that there is no audition."

Amy's mood eased hearing the news. She replied: "Its good then. Nolan told me this yesterday. We will go to the studio together tomorrow. I think there's no need to ask my Grandfather for it now. I am eighteen myself."

Richard nodded. "Yes, there's no need. But we still have to take your lawyer with us."

Amy agreed with Richard. After talking with Richard, Amy went back to the dressing room and stood in front of the clothes wardrobe. She started checking all the clothes in it and tried many of them. All of the dresses were rejected by her.

When Amy was disappointed, suddenly her eyes caught the sight of a white cullote dessert hanging on one side of the wardrobe. It was an embroided culotte dress with a silver white rose on the shoulder and gold strip on the waist and a little on the shoulder. She tried the dress and looked at herself in mirror. "Perfect." Her dress for the dinner is ready.
