Chapter 41

Luke found himself in a familiar place.

"It's been a long time since I've summoned here," he mutters and sees Erebus' cloaked figure not standing at the same distance away from him

Luke sits on the ground with his pen and note appearing in his hands as usual.

"You are a strange mortal," Erebus started. "Not once did you call for my help."

"Well I don't think about reaching out to you use I'm either too calm or in a near-death situation," Luke replies. "Or I'm thinking of some way to utilize my brain. But now that I'm here..."

"Did you choose me for this mission because of the lack of fear of death?"

"No," Erebus replied.

"Really," Luke said.

"You have a naturally powerful soul. If you were born in this world you would have been a prodigy in magic and be blessed with an ability by a god. Whoever's eyes you catch."

"So when I arrived you decided to catch me in a net before any other god could. Smart."
