Incinerate

With the activation of Velios' mana dome, the creature stood no chance. The chances of the superior dragon winning had been effectively reduced to 0.0000001% upon the activation of Velios' technique, only possible through the culmination and effort Velios had spent training hellishly every day during the past five months. A technique so powerful that even Velios struggled to come up with counters to it. A dome created by mana produced many different effects, all in favor of the person casting it. The mana dome allowed magical attacks to appear from anywhere, not limiting it to the position of the caster. Since the mana was also finely trapped in a sphere, it had no place to go than directly back into the sphere, making the possibility of attacking endlessly. The denser the mana inside the circle, the easier and more effective the magic casted. The dense mana also allowed for the person trapped inside to have no way to escape.

"Die." Were the last words the superior dragon heard as he saw his body getting endlessly slashed as it regenerated every time. Velios was just standing in the middle of the circle, watching as the superior dragon had not even a single fraction to let out a scream before his body continued to be cut up endlessly. The slashes themselves were another technique only possible through Velios' efforts. They were a combination of wind magic and finely condensed mana that had been compressed to such levels that they could cut through almost anything. The slashes were so insanely sharp yet small that they could slash through individual grains of sand. With the help of the mana dome, Velios could repeat those attacks almost infinitely while wasting close to zero mana with every attack. This cycle of constant and boundless suffering, pain, and torture was the only way you could describe what the superior dragon was feeling in his last moments.

In the end, the superior dragon, famous for its strength, mana, and magical powers, had been reduced to pieces so small that no further regeneration was possible since nothing even remained of it. The slices had only stopped when not a single piece of the superior dragon remained, with Velios absorbing the remaining mana. "For a superior dragon, he sure was pure. I guess he'll be fun to spar with." The ground on which Velios stood could hardly be called sand anymore. It was much more like a liquid, falling over itself. However, at the sight of the achievement he had achieved, his face did not match the happiness or sense of completing something difficult as one normally would. Instead, he looked quite unhappy, almost frustrated at the sight of the result.

"This will not do. I need to get stronger." He said it to himself, as he was talking quietly to himself. Velios slowly turned his back around with the rest of his body following after. The huge dragon still roamed around the city, continuing to cause havoc and chaos. "Now what am I going to do with you?" Velios disappeared so fast you couldn't see him. One second, he was still standing atop the soft sand and the other, he was gone, headed straight towards the city.

Meanwhile, Velios was fighting; the adventurers strong and brave enough focused solely on evacuating everybody else while trying their best not to die. One of these adventurers was Yotsuya. "Boss! Evacuate as many as you can; I'll stall it." Yotsuya screamed out, looking back and holding his swords. "No! Yotsuya! It's too dangerous. Not even you can defeat it!" Yotsuya looked back to face the dragon, only to barely block one of the dragon's massive swings, launching him into a nearby building. "Fuck it! You always risk your life for others!" Enhancing himself with mana, he ran to Velios to help him up before both of them started viciously attacking the dragon, barely slicing through its tough skin.

"You damn reptile!" The dragon's breath spewed out fire which was easy to dodge. It threw the same swing with its arm again, leaving it widely open for a counter-attack. Yotsuya, with blitzing speed, cut open huge parts of one of its arms up to its torso. An effective attack which only made the dragon even angrier. Balls of fire were flying through the air, crushing everything they collided with. "Yotsuya! We can't beat that thing; it's too damn huge!" Yotsuya didn't even look over at his friend but instead rushed in again. With mana infused in his sword, his tired and worn-out body could barely stand up yet he kept fighting. Velios swung once again, but it was so weak that it didn't leave a single mark, yet the massive dragon was hit so hard that it flew through the air before smashing into the ground.

Yotsuya was left insanely confused, even checking his sword to see if there was anything wrong with it. He did not find anything wrong with the sword; however, he found a mysterious being almost flying in the air headed straight for the dragon. Yotsuya was completely frozen, watching in awe yet terrified at the fight between the dragon and the mysterious person. "T-This isn't even a fight anymore; it's just one-sided, it's straight up bullying. He's literally playing around with a dragon!" The two of them just stopped what they were doing, completely disregarding what they were doing as if they were two kids watching their favorite cartoon. They watched as Velios kicked and punched the dragon so hard that massive dents and deformations were the only things left on the dragon.

It screamed in pain, creating a huge ball of fire in its mouth which only continued to grow in size. "Hey, Yotsuya. Isn't this, like, really, really bad? Shouldn't we get out?" Yotsuya couldn't hear what he said because of any problem but simply because he didn't want to. "Just watch. You saw what that guy did. It doesn't even matter if he's human or not. The only reason we're even hiding in the first place is that we trusted that guy enough after seeing what he was capable of." He had no way to argue against Yotsuya, and there was no point since they weren't going to flee either way.

"You dragons are always so proud of your flames, but you always seem to forget how easy it is to get rid of fire. After all, it does need heat, fuel, and oxygen. Without even one of them, it can't work. Let me show you, dragon, just how inferior bloodline and talent are to that of a hardworking person!" Velios had no reason not to, since there wasn't any other enemy left other than the dragon in front of him. He jumped up in the air, staying afloat with one of his hands towards the sky as if he was holding something. Suddenly, a huge ball of fire spun around Velios' hand that only continued to grow in size, becoming bigger and bigger to the point where the dragon almost looked small.

"Yotsuya. Are you seeing what I'm seeing?" Yotsuya couldn't even speak. He could only answer with a nod in the air. "His flames are blue. And that mana, it's so big, yet it doesn't feel like it's lacking for some reason." They were seeing something so advanced that they didn't know how to explain it. It was almost like a mixture of different powerful spells created in one big yet simple attack. The ball of flames slowly started decreasing in size. "Wait, is the size of the ball decreasing?" Arthur stared equally as confused until he had realized what was truly going on. "No, Yotsuya. He's compressing the fire. He's trying to make it as compact as possible, but, I don't know why."

In the remaining part of the fight that followed with Velios' final attack, his knowledge of magic had truly grown and exceeded something straight up out of this world, yet again proving that everything he did was solely possible because of who he is. The giant blue ball of fire had been compressed to roughly the size of a golf ball, circulating around Velios, stopping just in front of him. "Duplicate." The magic which he had casted was already advanced enough but that did not stop Velios. To him, it didn't matter how much unnecessary chaos or destruction he would cause in the moment. The only thing he was thinking of in that moment was the amount of growth he would achieve if he managed to do what he was going to do.

The small, compressed blue balls of fire were rapidly duplicating and increasing as they were spinning around Velios as if they were orbiting him. The single ball which he had created took a huge chunk of his mana but he now had over a hundred of them, spinning rapidly around him. That was only possible thanks to a neat trick Velios had created during his training period. As Velios was preparing to launch the attack, he lowered his hand down so that it was directed towards the dragon. "Incinerate."
