Emma Is Missing

Marigold, accompanied by Bingo and Genk, left the orphanage's gates without hesitation. Despite Susan's frantic pleas not to go out, Marigold assured her that she would take good care of the children and was only going out to check if Emma might be outside.

She led Bingo out into the heavy rain, allowing it to sniff Emma's usual toys before they set off.

Initially, they searched the surroundings of the orphanage, including the woods, small hills, and some abandoned shelters, but to no avail. Bingo's quiet demeanor made Marigold question whether it was a search dog at all.

She realized that even if they had been active in the area the previous night, the rain could have washed away any scent or trace, making it extremely difficult to rely on Bingo's nose to find Emma.
