Chapter 18 Failed plan

Stacy's heart raced as she woke up in a strange hotel room, her mind foggy and her surroundings unfamiliar.

Confusion washed over her as she sat up, taking in the disheveled state of the room and the scattered strands of her hair on the bed.

Rubbing her eyes with the back of her hand, she tried to make sense of the situation. It finally dawned on her that she had ended up in a hotel, but how and why remained a mystery.

As she sat there, a throbbing headache began to pulse through her temples, reminding her of the events from the previous night. Memories flooded back, and she recalled how Yuan Yuan had abruptly left her.

At the time, Stacy hadn't thought much of it, but now it left her feeling uneasy. She also remembered forcing her way into this room, driven by a mix of curiosity and desperation.

The room had a pleasant smell, a blend of tobacco and chocolate scents that lingered in the air. She couldn't help but wonder who she was sharing the space with.

She continued to look around, he tried hard to remember more things but the headache was so much. She held her hand on her head.

Startled by the sudden silence, Stacy's attention was drawn to the sound of running water. She wondered who was in the bathroom. She called out "Yuan yuan is that you?" She asked but there was no response.

Moments later, a man emerged from the shower, steam swirling around his defined physique. Clad only in a towel around his waist, his cold gaze met Stacy's bewildered expression.

Caught off guard by his striking appearance, Stacy found herself staring at him, her mouth agape. His smooth voice broke the silence, "Enjoying the view?" He asked in a rather irritated way.

The comment snapped Stacy back to reality, her cheeks flushing with embarrassment. Hastily, she stood up from the bed and reached for her shoes, realizing that she had gotten herself into an uncomfortable situation.

The realization hit her like a ton of bricks she had entered the wrong room and spent the night with a stranger. Panic coursed through her veins as she inspected her body, relieved to find her clothes still intact.

Glaring at the man, she mustered the courage to confront him, but his eyes darkened with a mix of disgust and anger. With a single word, "Dumb," he dismissed her, leaving Stacy feeling even more humiliated and inferior. What did he mean by Dumb? She didn't have the time to think about that just yet. She needed to leave this room to avoid any more complications.

Determined to leave this uncomfortable encounter behind, she hastily gathered her belongings and rushed out of the room. When she arrived outside the door relief flushed over her body when she realized she was the only one outside. What would Jin think of her if he saw her in a stranger's room?

She didn't want to think of the outcome, she knew this would have brought shame to her family, she would never drink out again.

Meanwhile, back at the hotel, Yuan Yuan frantically searched for Stacy. She quickly gathered Aaron, Jayden, and Jin, feigning concern as she led them towards the suite where Stacy was supposed to be.

Aaron couldn't help but question "why ain't you both together, but you left with her last night" suspicious of Yuan Yuan's behavior. Hayley, too, had always harbored doubts about Yuan Yuan's true intentions.

Jin, aware of the underlying tension, remained silent, observing the unfolding events. "So where is she now?, What do you mean by you can not find her?," Hayley asked her with a suspicious gaze.

Yuan Yuan started crying, attempting to explain, "I really don't know. I left her at the room door yesterday because I had something to do. When I got back, she wasn't there. I thought she was already inside, so I went in and fell asleep as well." She tried to defend herself.

Hayley, always skeptical of Yuan Yuan, was unconvinced. Jin, aware of the unfolding drama, chose to still stay silent. They reached the door of the suite, and Yuan Yuan knocked, receiving no response.

Hayley sensed some conspiracy but she didn't want to be the one to talk just yet, she would have a heart to heart talk with Stacy later.

"Why are we here? How do you know she's here?" Aaron interrogated her, his gaze unwavering. Seeing how she had chosen the door out of all they had passed gave a sense that Yuan yuan had a plan on ground, but what?.

"I… I don't know. I just wanted to check. Who knows which room she might have stumbled into in her drunken state," Yuan Yuan replied, pretending to cry, hoping to elicit sympathy.

The door creaked open, revealing a young lady whose hair obscured her face, with an older man standing behind her. His hands around her waist in an intimate way, while she was only in a shirt her hair was scattered.

A sly smile crept across Yuan Yuan's face. She was happy that her palm was going well, this would be the end of her and Jin, as she addressed the young woman, "Stacy, what are you doing here?" Everyone was shocked, believing they had found Stacy.

However, their confusion was short-lived when they heard Stacy's voice behind them, unmistakably, "I am right here."

Her voice echoed through the corridor, leaving them all in stunned disbelief.
