The tension was thick in the air, palpable enough to be cut with a knife. Leng Meng's eyes locked onto the scene unfolding before her, her entire body stiffening with barely contained rage.

As Mr. Qin stepped out of the car, his hand firmly holding Stacy's, Leng Meng's heart pounded against her chest, the rhythm quickening with each passing second. Her fist clenched involuntarily, knuckles turning white as the blood drained from her hand.

The sight of them together, the way he held Stacy's hand with such possessiveness, sent a surge of fury through her.

Leng Meng wanted nothing more than to storm forward, to confront him, to demand answers, but she forced herself to remain still. Ziyu, ever watchful, seemed to sense her intent and quickly moved to stand in front of her, a silent wall between her and Mr. Qin.

She took a deep breath, fighting to suppress the storm of emotions threatening to spill over.
