Chapter 129, Slaming faces

Lang Meng's car glided to a halt in front of the imposing Qin mansion, its sleek frame reflecting the afternoon sun.

The gates loomed large and unwelcoming, but she stepped out confidently, her short gown clinging to her figure, revealing long, toned legs that caught the attention of passersby.

As she approached the gate, the crunch of gravel under her heels announced her arrival, but the bodyguards standing at the entrance remained unmoved, their eyes cold and unyielding.

One of the guards, a tall, broad-shouldered man with a stony expression, stepped forward, blocking her path.

His voice was deep and authoritative as he spoke, "Apologies, ma'am, but we've been given strict instructions not to let anyone in besides our boss, his wife, and the household staff."

Lang Meng's frown deepened, a spark of anger flickering in her eyes. She squared her shoulders, trying to maintain her composure, though her fists clenched at her sides.
