I opened my eyes slowly upon hearing the chirping of the birds and rays from the sun. I felt pain from my eyes because I almost cried it out. I stood up, wore my slippers and decided to freshen up.

"Shit, am late. I screamed out upon seeing the time, I rushed to freshen up and dressed up quickly because this was my first day as the CEO'S assistant.

I rushed into the last floor ignoring all sounds of people telling me I looked weird. I was only concentrated on getting to Mr Anderson's office quickly.

" Come in", I heard Hayden's voice immediately I knocked. I opened the door and stood in the middle of the room admiring his handsomeness.

"So why were you late", I hate incompetence, he said immediately he raised his face to meet mine.

What!!! "Wait why are your eyes swollen", what's wrong, Hayden asked immediately he saw my over swollen eyes.

Em....Mr Anderson it's nothing, something got into my eyes and it got swollen, I lied confidently.

Hayden looked straight into my eyes and nodded as if he wasn't contended with what he heard.

"Okay", I think you should see a doctor anyways I have a meeting in the next thirty minutes so you can take a break.

What am I to do as your assistant because I don't have any experiences to work for someone like you, am still against all this Mr Anderson.

" Natty you just have to write all important details that happens in any meeting", take records and also write the date and time that a notable event happened or wants to happen. So easy and I know you can do it Natttttyyyy...., he stressed.

I was surprised at him calling me my nickname because I never told anyone in the company that.

"Mr Anderson am not sure about all this but I will give it my best", I replied reluctantly.

" Don't worry", I have chosen you which means you are the best and I trust you, he said with a broad smile.

I was getting confused about his sudden change in behavior and mostly he was smiling too much.

"Am not sure about the trust you put in me but I really don't like this job or what of I don't meet up with your expectations", I asked curtly.

A smile crawled to his lips and he started laughing in a mysterious way.

" Natty", I trust you and I know you won't let me down. You have been so professional since you got here and I love that. No worries about your new job, just relax it's gonna be an easy breeze, he said smiling again.

"You may leave and take care of your eyes, Hayden said brushing away my excuses.

I wanted to speak but when I thought about the thirty minutes he gave me, I left.

I kept on thinking about my new life and most especially all the turns that had taken place in my life. I sighed deeply and went to sit in my new office which was shown to me earlier.
