Synopsis

Can't a father go out with his family again without something ruining it?

I would have been happy if it had been just traffic causing the issue, but no, it had to be something much more outrageous – the apocalypse.

Imagine what was supposed to be a family outing turning into a fight for survival against zombies in an instant.

It doesn't change much, though. I'm still trying to be the best husband and father I can be, and the apocalypse ain't changing that!

Hey, I like your story so I'll be doing an occasional rating and review as I continue reading. Take my input as you see fit or don't I don't care. _____________________________________________ 1. The story feels repetitive, as if youre just trying to add more words for no reason. (3/5) 2. The story is developing, but you tend to drone unnecessarily on unimportant details. (3/5) 3. I love how each character is represented + the insight to the individual emotions and ideals is entertaining. (5/5) 4. Updates seem steady enough and the story is still consistent. (5/5) 5. Beautifully crafted world + enjoyable descriptions. (5/5) Overall: (4.2/5) Great Story Final Note: I intend to keep reading and look forward to seeing how this story goes.

Okay I’ve read up to current update that doesn’t require privileges. Writing quality is very good and starts really strong. Little to no grammatical or spelling errors. The beginning gives you that good apocalypse vibe. The only major thing I’ll nit pick is later the author puts really large notes of thanks and requests comments at the end of every chapter. This feels more like padding the chapters word count than anything to me since it’s the same exact words every single time. The story updates consistently. There has been very little pauses in at least one daily update. Story development has been very good. In fact has been the best thing about this story. I could not tell you what our main character actually looks like and his family. I can, however, say I love the family dynamic and how they interact with eachother. They’re in this facing zombie apocalypse together. I will say that I feel some eastern fantasy vibes also occurring in the story. So far we still have that tense apocalypse feel but for how long I don’t know. As I’ve mention character design is definitely lacking. I have kind pasted my own ideas of what the characters look like based on their shown personality. World background starts in basically our world so it’s not a hard thing to start with. Now the changes to the world by the apocalypse does get mentioned consistently so the world is changing and is being rebuilt as the story progresses. Part of the fun of reading apocalypse stories. So far so good. It’s a good and enjoyable read. I definitely would give it a try if you enjoy a zombie apocalypse with eastern fantasy fused into it. Also for this who I know will ask, there is NO harem here. Just a good married man with kids and a lot of gumption to survive a horde of zombies.😉

I only read about 30 chapters. The characters are unique not one dimensional, I like the dynamic between the family. The story itself is smooth and not forced, it feels natural. The writing is easy to follow with no over the top expressions, which I like. I really loved this story for being unique and done with quality. BUT I HAVE A PROBLEM WITH IT. It's that the points keep being repeated and there's redundant info being repeated. Really the repeating is too much, it goes on for 4 paragraphs just to deliver a point, when it was clear from the first paragraph. Chapters sometimes feel redundant because nothing of note happened because of how much a point is repeated, a whole chapter could be reduce to just 3 paragraphs. If this problem is solved then this story is golden. Don't fall into the word count trap author, maintain quality and don't consider your readers idiots, they can understand what you mean from the first time it's mentioned.
