Clan and Village

"TILL NOW, no one except me and Kaida," Shisui said

"Why didn't you go to Fugaku?" Hiruzen wanted to know what was in Shisui's mind

"I don't want the relationship between the Uchiha clan and Village to deteriorate further than it already is, even though I know the consequence of that will be very bad not only for my clan but also for the village," Shisui said with a solemn voice

"Don't worry I will see this through, you have my words" Hiruzen said, normally someone of his position doesn't have to be polite to anyone else, but the ninja in front of him was not only a capable Elite Jonin but also a child of his friend Kagami Uchiha

Also, he was among few Uchiha's who had inherited the Will of fire rather than the curse of haterade

Shisui was visibly relaxed after hearing that, due to his father he knew a thing and two about Danzo, there was a reason he was known as Darkness of Konoha

It would not be an overstatement to say that due to him Konoha was able to stay safe in 2 great ninja wars

Every time all four ninja villages would attack Konoha together, it was Danzo who used his root ninjas as disposable tools during that time and made those villages fight among themselves giving Konoha some space to breathe during the war

This was also one of the reasons why Hiruzen tends to turn a blind eye to most of Danzo's evil deeds, but now his deeds are slowly weakening the village 

Hiruzen looked toward Shisui and said

"You can go back now, rest assured I will make sure this will not happen again," Hiruzen said

Shisui nodded his head and went back, though he didn't go back to his house but to the Clan headquarters

"Hello uncle, how are you" Shisui asked entering the office

"This better be important Shisui, I am not in the mood for jokes," Fugaku said without looking toward Shisui,

"Did the clan know about the rumors that are spreading around the village about our clan?" Shisui asked

Fugaku stopped his work and looked toward Shisui

"Exactly which rumours are you talking about" Fugaku asked

"Recently a rumor has been spreading around the village that the Uchiha clan was involved in a tail attack, and we don't have Konoha as our village," Shisui said

Fugaku being an experienced politician quickly understood what it meant, then his expression became grim after thinking about the reason behind this

Shisui saw this and quickly said

"Don't worry about it uncle, Lord third assured me that he is going to stop him" Shisui said

"I want to know the complete details," Fugaku said in a Serious voice

Shisui nodded his head and told him about how Kaida found out about the rumor and nearly got into trouble, how he found a root ninja, and how Hiruzen handled this

"You should have come to me with that body," Fugaku said

"You also know that the relation between clan and village is not good uncle and it is mostly because we are angry about our re-allocation to the outskirts," Shisui said

"I can't even blame them, We have every right to be angry, the village is giving us punishment for a crime we didn't commit

And you expect our ninjas to smile and let them do whatever they want" Fugaku said with a little anger in his voice

"Then do you want to leave the village uncle, with our strength this can be achieved easily," Shisui said

And even though they can't form a different ninja village, there are many ways to make a living from a ninja

"We will only have two options after leaving the village, either make a small ninja village, or join forces with the daimyo, I am not going to let the Uchiha clan become a hunting dog for the daimyo, and a small ninja village is also not an option since we will become the target of every ninja village during the war

Also, we can't leave this village, we have invested too much into it, but the conditions have still not reached a level where we have to think of it that way" Fugaku said

"That is the reason I didn't come to you with the body, I don't want the condition to reach that stage, going against the village will not be a good decision, we may win but it will cost us dearly," Shisui said

"Like I don't understand this, don't worry I also don't want our relation with the village to deteriorate any further

Also, tell that brat I will give him 5 acres of land as a reward for finding out such a thing this early, I can imagine what would have happened if this had continued for 1 year

Knowing Danzo, we wouldn't have been able to know about this till it went out of our hands" Fugaku said

Shisui nodded his head but found something strange

"From when did you start giving land as a reward Uncle" Shisui asked

"Ask your brother about this, he asked me to add the unused land we have to the reward list so that we can put it to some good use"

Shisui nodded his head, really liking this idea

"Fine you can go back," Fugaku said

"Uncle, please don't do anything for now, let's give lord third some time to handle this issue first," Shisui said

Fugaku just nodded his head, seeing Shisui used body flicker jutsu to go back to his house

After Shisui went out Fugaku said

"I just hope this situation didn't increase any further" Then went back to complete the paperwork

At Hokage office

Hiruzen took out the body of the root ninja from the scroll and looked toward the head of the body

Only to find the seal used to prevent anyone from reading clones' memory already present there

Hiruzen sighed, easily recognizing the seal, the ninja belonged to Root,

'I stopped you Danzo, but looks like your ambitions are also at their limit now that we are getting old

Even though I was planning to let you play for some more time, your actions are now putting the integrity of Konoha at risk

Look like the time for us old timers to retire is coming room' Hiruzen thought then called an Anbu ninja
