"To get to you?" Darrion knitted his brows.
He was truly as blind as a bat.
She could not help but sigh, "Have you already forgotten about what we discovered about Casindra? She faked her injury for attention. She thought by doing so, you would divert your attention to her."
"But..."
"Have you confronted her about that?" Athena pressed, not giving him any chances to rebut.
"No..."
She was not surprised by his reply. Athena could not help but laugh.
"Lord Darrion for a well-read noble, I must say you aren't as bright as I thought," she mused.
Darrion slammed his hand on the table in anger. He did not appreciate the insult, not one bit!
"How dare you speak of me this way! You're not as smart as you think, princess. Fooled by your own knight, what a joke," he hit it where it hurt.
It was as if his comments had flipped a switch within her. Athena splashed her glass of tea all over Darrion without a second thought.
