More Than One

Back at the menagerie, Athena and Darrion were observing a flock of peacocks. There was only one peahen and a number of peacocks. All of the peacocks were vying for the peahen's attention.

Athena watched on in amusement.

"I guess that's possible," she said to herself as she watched.

"What is?" Lord Darrion asked out of curiosity, wondering what Athena had on her mind.

"For one to have multiple lovers. What do you think?" she turned to ask him, wondering what he thought of it.

"Loving multiple people at the same time? Wouldn't that be tiring?" he mused.

Athena chuckled, "I guess it would be. Father seems to manage it well. He has his queen and a harem of consorts and concubines. Why can't it be the other way around?"

At that moment, something clicked for Darrion. He quickly realized Athena might be referring to herself. He had never considered this to be possible before. But what if?
