Save Me

Her vision was blurry at first but a cold splash of water jolted all of her senses at once. Athena shook her head. It was all coming back to her now. 

She couldn't see anything. There was a blindfold over her eyes. 

She couldn't move. Her hands were tied behind her back. 

Trying to recall the last thing that had happened. She realized how easily she had fallen asleep after Nikolai and Krayden left. How was that possible when she'd had such difficulty sleeping just moments before from all the excitement?

"She's awake, mother!" A familiar voice spoke. 

Athena was shocked to see Casindra, speaking to her mother, Catalina. How was that even possible? Queen Catalina was placed on house arrest. Out of respect to her father and after much discussion, she had chosen to put the queen on house arrest for the time being until her coronation was complete. 

Looks like she'd made a mistake. A mistake she now had to pay.
