Chapter 20: Determination

“Queen Marama is coming to your second wedding,” Prince Kloud calmly said. His voice was too calm, but I sensed his anger.

“Is she mental? How did she manage to convince King Astaroth?” Armand asked.

“She plans to cause trouble, right?” Randale demanded.

“You have no idea,” Armand retorted, and I sat down in a thud. How much trouble was Marama planning to cause? Coming to the West Kingdom was one of the reasons I had to get away from her. Yet she was making plans to come to the second wedding?

There was pin-drop silence in the room, and then Prince Kloud spoke up. “I do have a plan.”

“Of course, you do,” Randale chuckled.

“Unless you think that we should allow her to come for the wedding.” Prince Kloud stood up, towering over me, making me arch my neck to look at him.

“Prince Ulysses has never been interested in Queen Marama,” Armand asserted. I watched as Randale stood up, walked over, pulled Armand up, and dragged him to the other side of the couch.
