It was close to midnight as we walked silently through the corridors. We smiled at each other in bliss as we enjoyed each other's company. Being mated to Armand made me feel a sense of belonging. 


I know that he had questions that I would answer later and for the first time since I agreed to hide my identity, I felt anxious. He had accepted me but there were still secrets about my birth parents and the brutal murder that happened. I had not discussed Vuk with him but knew that he was eager to know what was happening. 


The guard standing in front of Crown Prince Kloud's chambers opened the door immediately upon seeing me. I knew that they must have been awake waiting for me. When the door closed behind Armand and me, we found Crown Prince Kloud standing by the window while Grand Prince Ulysses was sitting on the couch looking agitated.
