*Alistair*
Over the next two days, it appeared that Daphne had taken Alistair’s daring request to heart. Each morning she had gotten out of bed and readied herself for whatever he had planned out for them. She was showering, dressing herself, and eating normally as though nothing between them had changed since the wedding ceremony.
It wasn’t certain if Daphne had gotten over what Rowan had put her through or if this was her trying to live in sheer denial of it ever happening.
Either way, Blackwood took this new form of normalcy for what it was.
Ever since the day they had spoken outside of the jewelry shop, the conversation of ‘marriage’ and ‘wedding’ hadn’t popped up since. It was both a blessing and a slight deterrent for Alistair.
The two were able to peacefully coexist in the stunning villa and move about as the pleased; however, it wasn’t enough for Blackwood.
