[34] The Two Sisters Who Made Things Worse

Chapter 34: The Two Sisters Who Made Things Worse

After being sent home by Aoi Kiriyama, Yuta began contemplating what kind of company he should start.

Once his manuscript payment comes through, starting a small workshop might be feasible, but what should he produce?

He could assemble large engines by himself, but even if he worked tirelessly, he wouldn't make much money with just his own efforts.

In the manufacturing sector, he had the skills but lacked both manpower and a protective force. Even if he used things from his memories, it would be easy for others to claim them as their own.

The entertainment industry was similar—without protection, it wouldn't go far.

As for the last option...

Yuta reflected on the current situation and realized it wasn't feasible either.

"If only I could marry a wealthy person. Forget earning ten million a year; even making over a hundred million a year could be possible."

Yuta mused with a smile, "If I married Miss Kiriyama, wouldn't her father's money become mine?"

Such thoughts were merely idle musings when alone. Yuta had no intention of becoming a billionaire this way; it would be not practical or respectable.

"Thinking too much is useless. What I need to do now is to make money quickly, rent a better place, and ensure that Sora and Miu have a more comfortable environment for school. Forget ten million—my current goal is just one thousand!"

Yuta sighed, realizing that with his entire savings not even reaching one thousand, dreaming of ten million seemed ridiculous.

Before entering the house, Yuta tried to shift his mood, reminding himself that today had been a good day, with the task completed smoothly.

He couldn't bring his worries home and let them affect his family!

"I'm back!"

"You're back, Uncle… You look more handsome!" Hina, who had been planning to trouble Yuta a bit, noticed that he looked noticeably more attractive than before.

Sora and Miu also looked at Yuta. Although there wasn't a clear change, they felt that Yuta seemed to have become more good-looking.

"You've lost weight, big brother… It's only been two days without meat, hasn't it?" Miu exclaimed in surprise, noticing that Yuta appeared to have slimmed down.

Yuta felt awkward and was at a loss for words. Losing weight so quickly in just two days seemed unlikely.

Unable to explain the reason for his change, he awkwardly replied, "It's nothing. I'll go make dinner."

Sora, noticing Yuta's forced smile, sadly remarked, "Miu, Uncle must have worked really hard for us to look like this…"

Miu nodded in agreement, believing Yuta's weight loss was due to his efforts for their sake.

In the kitchen, Yuta chose to ignore their comments, letting the two girls believe he had been working hard for their benefit. Due to this misunderstanding, the sisters became more considerate. For example:

As Yuta was drinking water, Miu, who had just come back from the bathroom, asked, "Big brother, do you need to use the restroom? You must be feeling uncomfortable, right?"

"Uh… I don't need to go right now," Yuta responded, starting to understand why Sora had once thrown a tea bottle at him. Making comments about the restroom when someone is drinking water isn't polite.

Sora, with her head lowered, said, "Uncle, since we moved in, you haven't had any personal space. Is your health okay?"

"I'm fine! I'm very healthy!" Yuta reassured them. His physical condition and strength had improved, and he wasn't doing much physical work, so he wasn't exhausted.

Seeing Sora blushing, Miu sighed and said, "Big brother, If you want to read that kind of book, you can do it on the balcony when we're asleep. Just make sure not to dirty the balcony."

"Huh?" Yuta didn't understand Miu's implication, but realized the sisters' thoughts seemed quite mature. Had Sora thought he might do something inappropriate with the bathroom water? And during baths, was she worried he'd dirty the water or do something improper in the areas she used?

Yuta felt a mix of sadness and frustration, realizing he was viewed in such a way by the sisters despite thinking he had a good image.

"Is that how you see me?!" Yuta looked at Sora and Miyu in disbelief.

Sora quickly shook her head. "No, we just want you to not worry about us too much and have your own space."

Miyu added, "Yeah, big brother, if you don't have a girlfriend and don't have other hobbies to take your mind off things, it would make us feel guilty as your 'beautiful young sisters.'"

"What's a girlfriend?" Hina, who had approached, asked curiously.

Yuta looked at Hina, placing his hands on her shoulders. "Hina, you're the best, always so obedient."

Hina smiled and asked, "Uncle, what's a girlfriend? Why do you need one?"

After being underestimated by the girls, Yuta firmly explained, "A girlfriend is someone close to my age who likes you just like I do. I'll definitely find one!"

Miu realized she might have made a mistake, inadvertently triggering Yuta's desire to find a girlfriend and felt sorry for her sister and herself.

Sora, seeing the situation, became anxious and regretted her words, wishing she hadn't said anything meant to be helpful.
