Small, Yet Meaningful

"Anna, your manager agreed to sit with us this evening, but because of her schedule, we will have to go meet her ourselves," Ms. Carter informed Anna over the one on Friday morning.

"I thought Saturday would have been the deal?" Anna panted while wiping off her sweat with a towel.

Today, she was running alone as she would very much love to avoid Roy for the time being. Well, she has been doing that successfully since his second proposal apart from dinner time.

Somehow, she just couldn't avoid him at those times. It's like, he always monitors her and comes down to eat when he learns she is already at the dining table.

"Anna, you are the one idle and in need of help. You don't get to pick dates," Anna's mother said to her.

"I know," Anna breathed into the phone as she made her way back into the house. "I will meet you by 2 PM so we can have lunch together first."

Ms. Carter nodded. "That's a good deal. Take care and don't be late, please."
