Investigation (Part 4)

"We can," Amalia agreed, taking him into the air, feeling his inexplicable excitement over just a short flight.

Excited, Ernesto dashed ahead, "Eduardo Norierga's family's residence is just up ahead. Let me take you there."

Amalia surveyed the surroundings, noting they were in a rather backward brick house town.

Though called a town, it was hardly even comparable to a small village.

Amalia and Ernesto arrived at the place where Eduardo Norierga's family lived.

The tiles on the roofs were worn out, with many missing, and the residents didn't bother to replace them.

Their faces and lips were cracked and dry from the cold wind, displaying indifference upon seeing outsiders.

Only a few adults, with greed visible in their eyes, glanced at Amalia's imposing presence but quickly dismissed any thoughts of robbery.

They knew they had to choose their targets carefully.
