He had noticed the little Mink following them and could have easily gotten rid of it.
However, doing so would mean he would have to increase his pace, and he wasn't willing to do that.
He wanted to carry Amalia a little bit longer and savor the time, including enjoying the feeling of her, so he wasn't keen on speeding up and cutting the time short.
But he couldn't admit this to Amalia.
After a moment of thought, he said, "Maybe it has some special ability."
"Do you think I'll believe that?" Amalia gave him a skeptical glance.
"Why wouldn't you?" Kenny Lin replied, looking particularly innocent.
Amalia took a deep breath and decided not to pursue the matter further.
Kenny Lin, still cautious, asked carefully, "Why do you think it's following us?"
"Probably because it thinks the spiritual vein is in our possession," Amalia guessed.
