The other soldiers snapped out of their daze, quickly following suit.

At that moment, the cannon fire finally struck.

The deafening explosions rang out endlessly, and the screams of agony formed a symphony of chaos on the battlefield.

The human officers and soldiers who had been ready to perish alongside the aliens suddenly froze in their tracks.

Until the cannon fire rained down, they hadn't realized that what should have been aimed at them was, in fact, tearing into the aliens instead.

Caught off guard, the aliens were blown to bits, losing two to three thousand troops in the blink of an eye—a devastating blow.
