As she stood up, the gown flailed, elegantly prancing into the cockpit, pressing a button underneath the counter.
A resounding noise bellowed, followed by a gemstone materializing in thin air. Promptly inserting it into the cube. Seconds later, three more items popped out of reality. To the left are a pair of armlets, adorned with intricate crevices spanning around itself. To the right appeared to be an armor of sorts, inlaid with multiple kinds of fabric woven into its metallic plate. Below it, is a plated anklet that sparkled at every angle.
As the items were brought close to the cube, they dematerialized making the cube rearrange itself. Then the ship suddenly shook, losing her balance, and was sent flying to the wall. Shaken by the concussion, she slowly stood up, grabbing the railing for support.
As she checked for blood on her head, the intercom sounded, "Warning, enemy ships detected."
Recovering quickly, she picked up the cube and put it into the stasis chamber. As she closed the chamber, she whispered,
"Damn it all, they already found us?!"
She darted to the cockpit when another alert came through.
"Warning, massive spatial signature detected!"
Opening the door to the cockpit she then asked,
"Callisto, how far are the enemy ships we detected?"
"They are currently outside of the galaxy, multiple battleships with smaller escort ships closing in the area."
"Have they detected us?"
"It appears not, they came out of the hyperspace outside this galaxy sector. Besides this galaxy, we have 2 neighboring galaxies that are at least 20 million light years away."
"How many ships appeared?"
"I am afraid it is the whole armada, with one carrier battleship."
"They are fully committed to catching me huh? Do they want the cube? Over my dead body!"
Looking determined, she barreled through the mess in her office and into the cockpit. She sat in the chair and silently typed onto the hologram.
"Alright Callisto, it seems that the gravity well on this event horizon is strong. I want you to designate one of the big asteroids as our destination. Preferably, away from the gas giants."
"As you wish madam"
"And as per the gravity well, from all the data you gathered, it seems to be coming from the gas giants. What are the chances for one of our asteroids to be pulled into the gas giant?" she questioned.
"Data indicates that the asteroids are situated around multiple gas giants, as most of them get caught around the giants' Lagrange points," Callisto responds.
As Callisto explains what she sees on the screen, she slowly scans the hologram, with one of her fingers swiping left and right.
"Alright, what about the gravity well?"
"With that in mind, the gravity well is also dependent on how far the gas giants are from this star."
