Chapter 4.3: Suspicious and Malicious

As they continued their journey, Uriel's eyes scanned the surroundings, her gaze falling upon the glorious structures and shimmering vistas of the Silver City. "Is Remiel here?" she inquired.

Camael, her companion, pondered for a moment. "Paradise Meditation, I think," she replied, her voice resonating with a sense of serenity befitting the celestial realm they now traversed.

As Remiel's voice resounded through the celestial realm, a magnificent display of power and grace unfolded before Uriel and Camael's eyes. Remiel's wings glowed with divine light as he channeled the immense energy of the heavens into his attack. With a swift and elegant motion, he extended his hand toward Karoo.

A brilliant bolt of celestial lightning shot forth from Remiel's fingertips, tearing through the fabric of reality itself. The ground beneath Karoo's feet shattered and cracked, creating a breathtaking spectacle of raw celestial power. The very air seemed to tremble as the lightning danced with divine fury.

Karoo, one of the Mighty Lions of Heaven, not to be outdone, responded with her own formidable abilities. With a flick of her hand, she summoned a swirling vortex of celestial winds, creating a powerful shield that deflected Remiel's lightning strike. The clash of these two mighty forces created a dazzling display of celestial magic.

Uriel and Camael watched in awe as the archangels dueled in the heavenly realm. It was a mesmerizing and breathtaking sight, a testament to the power and beauty of the celestial beings.

As the battle raged on, Uriel and Camael couldn't help but feel a deep sense of reverence for the high-rank angel, especially for Karoo, one of the Mighty Lions of Heaven. They knew that these displays of power were not mere exhibitions but a sacred dance that maintained the balance and harmony of the celestial realm.

The duel between Remiel and Karoo continued, each archangel demonstrating their incredible mastery of celestial magic. It was a spectacle that filled Uriel and Camael with a profound sense of pride and gratitude for the celestial realm they called home.

Remiel's lightning-laden battlefield dissipated as Karoo transformed into mist and enveloped Remiel's surroundings. The Lion of Mist, an enigmatic and elusive figure, continued to elude Remiel's grasp, making it seem as though the very air had come to life to challenge the Thunder of God.

Remiel, with his eyes aglow like celestial stars, extended his wings once more, unleashing a brilliant display of divine energy. He swung his wings with force, attempting to dispel the thick mist that shrouded him, but Karoo's powers seemed insurmountable.

As Remiel struggled in his ethereal battle, a desperate decision formed in his mind. He summoned a powerful lightning strike upon himself, channeling the heavens' fury. With arms outstretched, he shattered the lightning into countless bolts, illuminating the celestial realm with their radiance.

Unbeknownst to Remiel, the divine lightning cascaded toward Uriel and Camael's location. Camael, with her unwavering resolve, summoned a protective shield, intercepting the celestial lightning and preventing any harm from befalling them. Remiel, filled with dread at his unintentional attack on his mentor archangels, rushed to their side and bowed deeply in apology.

Uriel, the Light of God, and Camael, the One Who Sees God, reassured Remiel, understanding the intensity of his duel with Karoo, the Lion of Mist.

Remiel, Karoo, Uriel, and Camael stood together, united in their celestial purpose, a testament to the harmony and strength of the celestial realm.

Uriel's eyes were filled with anticipation as she gazed at Remiel, seeking confirmation of a long-awaited reunion.

Remiel, with a sense of reverence and urgency, stood with unwavering determination. "Yes, Archangel Uriel," he responded, recognizing the significance of their conversation.

The question that hung in the air was one of paramount importance. Uriel, her radiant presence a beacon of hope, inquired, "Has Amenadiel gone to Earth?"

Remiel, the bearer of celestial tidings, did not hesitate. "Yes, Archangel," he confirmed, understanding the weight of the information.

Camael, the One Who Sees God, joined in, shedding light on the matter. "Seems Michael ordered him to tell Jophiel about the case in Siddartha," she added, providing clarity to their celestial discourse.

Uriel's heart swelled with emotion as she contemplated the prospect of reuniting with their beloved sister. She leaped into the air with an exuberant clap, her ethereal form radiating with joy. "That would be the best! I miss our little sister so much," Uriel proclaimed with heartfelt sincerity.

Remiel couldn't help but steal glances at Uriel, his thoughts running wild within the confines of his celestial mind. "Archangel Uriel is really appealing and grumpy, but adorable truly," he silently mused, his admiration evident in his gaze.

Karoo, the Mighty Lion of Heaven, playfully smacked Remiel's back with a hearty laugh. "That hurts, Karoo," Remiel protested, his cheeks now as crimson as a freshly bloomed rose.

Karoo, reveling in Remiel's embarrassment, couldn't resist poking fun at his friend. "Are you trying to hit on the Light of God?" she asked in a fit of laughter.

Remiel stammered, his embarrassment further deepening. "N-no!" he quickly retorted, though his flustered demeanor betrayed his true feelings.

Karoo continued to tease, a mischievous glint in her eyes. "Get ready for Zadkiel's swift lightning daggers," she warned, his laughter echoing in the celestial realm.

Remiel sighed, realizing he had fallen into Karoo's playful trap. "Stop teasing me," he grumbled, his demeanor a mixture of embarrassment and exasperation.

Their banter was interrupted by Uriel's call. "Remiel, Karoo," she beckoned.

Remiel immediately snapped to attention, his earlier embarrassment giving way to a dutiful stance. Karoo, still chuckling, couldn't resist one more round of laughter.

Uriel offered her gratitude. "We'll be taking off. Thanks for your time in answering our queries," she expressed.

Remiel replied sincerely, "Our pleasure, Archangels."

Camael joined in, offering her farewell. "Until then," she said.

With a graceful unfurling of their celestial wings, Uriel and Camael soared into the heavens at breathtaking speed. Remiel watched in awe, inspired by their abilities and determined to excel in his role as one of the High Rank Angels.

Uriel, in a moment of lightheartedness, remarked, "Remiel is kind of cute, like Cassiel."

Camael couldn't contain her laughter, the celestial sound echoing through the celestial realm.

As the archangels departed, Remiel and Karoo resumed their duel, a testament to the boundless energy and camaraderie that permeated the heavenly realm.

As the group of celestial beings neared the boundaries of Bethlehem, the chill in the early morning air seemed to pierce through even the divine warmth of their presence. Jophiel, in particular, shivered involuntarily, her delicate form trembling from the cold.

Lucifer, always attentive to the needs of those around him, noticed Jophiel's discomfort. Without hesitation, he spread his magnificent wings, their dark leathers forming a protective canopy that shielded Jophiel from the biting cold. Under the shelter of his wings, Jophiel's shivers ceased, and a serene smile graced her face as she drifted into peaceful slumber.

As dawn painted the heavens with hues of pink and gold, Jophiel stirred from her sleep. Her eyes fluttered open, and to her surprise, she found Lucifer still asleep beside her. The archangel's heart skipped a beat, a mix of surprise and gratitude filling her.

Jophiel couldn't help but be slightly startled by the proximity of Lucifer, but her gaze softened as she realized the thoughtful gesture he had made. It was clear to her that Lucifer had covered her with his wings to shield her from the cold, ensuring her comfort even while he slept.

With a sense of warmth and contentment, Jophiel lay back down, bringing her face a little closer to the slumbering Morningstar. She stared at him with a mixture of curiosity and affection, her thoughts dancing in the quiet sanctuary of her mind.

"Do you like me, Morningstar?" Jophiel wondered silently, her voice lost in the realm of her thoughts. In a playful impulse, she extended a slender finger and gently poked Lucifer's nose. A soft, musical laugh escaped her lips as she enjoyed this rare moment of intimacy and camaraderie with the Devil himself.

The world around them continued to awaken, but in that fleeting moment, all that mattered was the connection between these celestial beings. As the sun continued its ascent, bathing them in its gentle glow, Jophiel found herself grateful for the unexpected warmth she had discovered in the heart of Lucifer Morningstar.

As Lucifer slowly woke from a troubled dream, a lingering sense of unease clung to him like a shadow. His sleep had been disturbed by haunting nightmares, visions of his tumultuous past and the weight of his choices. Beads of sweat adorned his brow, remnants of the turmoil that had churned within his subconscious.

With a heavy heart, he turned his head, intending to face the awakening day and leave the darkness of his dreams behind. However, what he found at his side was an unexpected sight that caused his heart to skip a beat and the tension to ebb away.

There, in the gentle embrace of his wings, lay Jophiel, her features peaceful in the soft morning light. She had found solace and warmth within the cocoon of his protective embrace. The sight of her sleeping form, her delicate beauty serene in slumber, brought a soothing balm to Lucifer's troubled soul.

A faint smile touched the corners of his lips as he gazed upon her. In this rare moment of vulnerability, he couldn't help but marvel at the tranquility she radiated. It was a stark contrast to the tempestuous nature of his own existence.

As the first rays of dawn painted the sky with hues of pink and gold, Lucifer turned his attention to the heavens. He contemplated the dream that had stirred him from his rest, the echoes of his past deeds and their consequences.

In that quiet moment, a sense of gratitude washed over him. It was a gratitude born from the presence of the archangel in his life, a beacon of light and kindness amid the darkness that often clung to him.

Lucifer closed his eyes, inhaling deeply as he let the morning air fill his lungs. The weight of his nightmare began to dissipate, replaced by a newfound sense of calm. Jophiel's presence beside him, her trust and warmth, were like a soothing balm for his tormented soul.

With a final, contented sigh, Lucifer leaned back and continued to watch the sky, wondering what the day would bring and grateful for the serenity he had found in the company of an unexpected friend.

In the realm of heaven, the archangels prepared to descend to Earth, each with a solemn purpose in mind. The heavenly gates stood tall and radiant, a passage between the celestial abode and the mortal world.

Their brother Michael, the stalwart leader of heaven's host, delivered a stern but heartfelt warning. The aftermath of Lucifer's fall had left uncertainty in its wake, and the presence of devils still lurking in the shadows remained a troubling concern.

"Be vigilant, my brothers and sisters," Michael cautioned, his voice carrying the weight of responsibility. "We still don't know if the devils are still roaming, even after Lucifer's fall. As we go forth, let us remain vigilant and steadfast."

As Michael shared his concerns, Gabriel and Raphael, also prepared to descend, joined the conversation. Gabriel inquired about Michael's destination, expressing a mixture of curiosity and empathy.

"Are you truly going to that island?" Gabriel asked, recognizing the significance of the journey.

Michael's response was tinged with a sense of duty and determination. "I must," he affirmed, his unwavering faith in the mission evident. "We are God's warriors, and this task is essential."

Uriel, ever gentle and compassionate, offered a reassuring smile to their leader. "That's the Like of God we know," she said, acknowledging Michael's steadfast resolve.

As the archangels made their final preparations to descend to Earth, Zadkiel, known for his chivalry, seized a moment to express his feelings. "Mademoiselle!" Zadkiel called out to Uriel.

He approached Uriel with grace and gallantry, taking her hand and bestowing a tender kiss upon it. "Please take care," Zadkiel implored, his voice filled with longing. "My heart aches in your absence here in heaven."

Uriel was touched by his words, her heart warmed by his affectionate gesture. Her eyes softened as she responded, "I will return safely, my love. Until then, hold my love in your heart."

With wings unfurled and determination in their hearts, the archangels departed from the heavenly realm, ready to face the challenges and uncertainties of the earthly world, guided by their unwavering faith in their divine mission.

The gates of Heaven opened wide, allowing the four archangels to descend to Earth, each with their own specific destination. Uriel and Camael landed gracefully on the outskirts of Bethlehem, taking in the serene landscape that had once been ravaged by the tumultuous war.

"This land has truly recovered after the chaotic war," Camael remarked, her gaze sweeping across the peaceful scenery.

"Indeed," Uriel agreed with a nod, a sense of awe in her voice. "Our Father works wonders in restoring His creation."

As they stood there, reflecting on the past and the resilience of humanity, a group of local police officers spotted them and approached with smiles of recognition.

"Greetings, Archangel Uriel and Camael," one of the officers greeted them warmly. "It's an honor to see you again."

Uriel returned their greetings with a gracious smile. "The honor is ours. It's wonderful to see you all in good health, dear Nazarenians."

Camael, however, had a specific question in mind. "Could you please direct us to Jophiel's residence?"

The officer pointed up to the top of a nearby cliff, indicating the location of Jophiel's house. "You'll find her there."

Uriel expressed her gratitude with another warm smile, which seemed to charm the officers even more.

Meanwhile, Camael had been pondering something, and Uriel noticed her deep in thought.

"What's on your mind?" Uriel inquired, curious about Camael's contemplative expression.

Camael turned to Uriel, her eyes gleaming mischievously. "I thought, since we're here to visit Jophiel, we might as well experience life as humans do."

Uriel chuckled, understanding Camael's suggestion. "Ah, you mean we should walk instead of flying, to truly immerse ourselves in this experience?"

Camael winked playfully at Uriel. "Precisely, Light of God."

Uriel and Camael strolled through the quaint streets of Bethlehem, the townspeople greeting them warmly as they passed. Children flocked around them, their innocent curiosity shining in their eyes. The town seemed alive and vibrant, basking in the presence of the two archangels.

As they continued their leisurely walk, they couldn't help but notice numerous flyers scattered throughout the town. Jophiel's name was prominently displayed on them, along with a message about free flower seeds to beautify Bethlehem.

"Jophiel's enduring obsession with flowers," Camael remarked, a fond smile playing on her lips.

Uriel nodded in agreement, her eyes scanning the fliers. "It's a testament to her virtue as the 'Beauty of God.' She certainly has a unique creative touch."

Camael read aloud, "Free flower seeds to make Bethlehem bloom, like heaven."

Uriel chuckled softly. "Well, I suppose we can leave the creative genius to her. She's always had a way with turning the ordinary into something extraordinary."

As they discussed Jophiel's talents and the impact she had on the town, a car suddenly pulled up nearby, its engine breaking the peaceful ambiance of Bethlehem.

The town hall staff greeted them and explained that the mayor had suggested escorting the archangels to ensure they received proper assistance and hospitality in Bethlehem.

Uriel glanced at Camael, silently seeking her opinion. Camael considered the offer and nodded in agreement.

"It would be a gracious gesture," Camael replied.

They accepted the kind offer and climbed into the car. Within minutes, they arrived at Jophiel's house, and Camael couldn't help but be enchanted by its beauty.

"It's truly alluring," Camael murmured, her eyes filled with admiration for Jophiel's exquisite abode.

As Jophiel arrived home in Bethlehem, she couldn't help but notice the flyers scattered all around town, advertising free seeds for those who purchased flowers. It piqued her curiosity and made her wonder about the ongoing changes in her beloved town.

Ennemond was led to the flower shop, which he was tasked to open with the archdemons. Meanwhile, Lucifer and Jophiel were driven to her house by Lyam, with Jophiel needing to retrieve something.

"Wait here," Jophiel instructed as she stepped out of the vehicle. However, as she looked ahead, her eyes widened in surprise and joy. There, sitting on the porch, were Uriel and Camael.

"Sisters?!" Jophiel exclaimed, her heart leaping with delight.

"Our little flower," Camael replied warmly.

Without a moment's hesitation, Jophiel rushed towards them, embracing Uriel and Camael tightly. Tears of happiness welled up in her eyes as she held them close.

"Aw, I missed you both so much!" Jophiel exclaimed, her voice filled with genuine affection.

"We missed you too, dear sister. That's why we've come to visit you here," Uriel replied, her voice gentle and comforting.

Uriel and Camael were surprised by the opulent appearance of Jophiel's house. It seemed to be more like a mansion than the humble abode they might have expected.

"Didn't know your house would look like a mansion! I'd really expect unconstructed furniture," Camael quipped, her tone tinged with mild astonishment.

Jophiel chuckled in response. "Now you've got star-struck," she teased.

"I bet you'll say that," Camael retorted with a playful smirk.

Suddenly, the sound of approaching footsteps disrupted their conversation.

"Why are you taking so long?" inquired Lucifer impatiently.

Upon hearing Lucifer's voice, Uriel and Camael swiftly turned to face him. In an instant, their expressions shifted from surprise to anger. Their wings unfurled, and they brandished their celestial weapons, ready to defend themselves.

"If it isn't the Morningstar," Uriel sneered, her flames beginning to flicker and intensify. Her eyes blazed with righteous fury.

"You really don't know how many people lost their loved ones because of your awful desires," Camael accused, her tone accusing and unforgiving.

Lucifer let out a resigned sigh, realizing the gravity of his past actions and the emotions they had stirred in the hearts of these archangels.

"He's not the Lucifer you always knew anymore," Jophiel intervened, trying to diffuse the tension.

The atmosphere in the room grew increasingly tense. Uriel and Camael were on edge, their angelic auras radiating with a mix of anger, disappointment, and a hint of sadness. The flames that danced around Uriel's form seemed to mirror her fiery temperament, while Camael's demeanor remained stern and resolute.

Lucifer, now fully aware of the weight of his past deeds, felt the pressure of their accusing gazes like a heavy burden on his shoulders. He knew that his actions as the fallen angel had caused immense suffering and pain to both humans and angels alike.

"Every day, every night

You've always running in my mind."
