The red head was just about to go into the "Drinks Paradise" bar but someone put a hand on her shoulder making Aradia stop, she turned around and saw a tall man with a disgusting smirk on his face

"A girl like you should not be out and about at this time of the night~ let me take you home~"

The guy said making his intentions clear as day to the red head

'ugh- now I gotta deal with this, great!'

Aradia thought as a frown appeared on her face, if there was one thing Yeon Haa dislikes it's cliches, this big hunk of meat character harassing a female character, such a cliche!

'why does it have to me!'

What annoys Yeon Haa even more is the fact that people like this, these characters that are stepping stones for the main characters exist in real life, these characters were made to do this but real people? They can think on their own and yet they choose to act like this

"No thanks, I'm fine"

The redhead replied to the good for nothing character whilst yanking his hand off her shoulder

"Hah! Playing hard to get huh? Let's see how long it will last"

The no name character said as his disgusting smirk grew bigger

And the red head? She was trying her hardest not to cringe at his sentence, this was the most brain numbing thing she had to experience in a long while and she was complaining

Yeon Haa had dealt with these types of people frequently in her previous life so knew that he was not gonna let her enter the bar or let her go and so her original plan was not happening tonight

Aradia moved back and looked up at him just enough so the hud of the clock would not fall off

"Look I have things to do so go annoy someone else"

Aradia said and turned around, he probably thought she was a commoner hence why he has the guts to act like this

The redhead couldn't help but wonder what would happen if she told him that she was the child of the Duke of this land, yeah his expression would be priceless unfortunately she can't expose herself right now but oh boy if she could she would

Aradia walked away from the bar, she wasn't going to go home just yet- wait when did she start calling that place home? But to her dismay the guy started coming after her

"You think I'll let you go this easily?"

He said and started to take big steps after her, she turned to look at him

"Stop right there"

The red head spoke with a stern voice, this made the guy stop for a second and Aradia was internally happy that he would leave her alone but her hopes came crashing down when he started coming after her even faster

'shoot-'

Aradia thought and ran, she looked at his face and there it was that disgusting smirk and a look that says "i'll catch you"

The redhead knew that she would not win against him at least with strength alone, unfortunately there was no one around the streets were completely empty and they were already far from the bar to ask for help; Aradia cursed herself inwardly for walking away from there

And if her luck couldn't get any worse, she didn't know her way around here, the red head remembers the way to the estate very vaguely, so she was lost right now

While running and thinking about where to go Aradia was met with two turns and went in the right one and then another turn and a third one but that left her to a dead end

The brick wall in front was quite tall and there wasn't anything around to step on, she turned around to leave for another turn but was met with that guy snickering like a maniac

'crap-'

"Where are you gonna hide now~"

"Don't come any closer"

The red head said still keeping her voice calm but in reality her hands that she had made into fists were shaking but of course he didn't listen if anything he was busy mocking her right now with that grin on his face

He came close to her and tried to grab her wrist but Aradia kicked him in the nuts as hard as she could with her shaky body, the no name villain fell on his knees with pain at that time Aradia made a run for it but he grabbed on to her leg, the red head tried shaking it off but he pulled her leg making her loss her balance and trip

Aradia's eyes first went wide in shock she tried to stabilise herself but it was to no avail so she closed her eyes tightly preparing for the impact of the fall, but...

It never came..?

Mid way thru falling someone caught her, Aradia felt a soft yet strong arm on her waist that was currently keeping up her body

The red head slowly opened her eyes, it took a few seconds for her vision to clear, once it did she saw red eyes staring down at her

"Are you alright?"

The woman with red eyes that had caught the redhead asked to which she just slightly nodes her head as her body was still recovering from the shock

The woman helped Aradia stand up straight but the red head's legs were still shaking so the red eyed woman leaned her against the brick wall and looked back at the whimpering man who had just harassed the redhead

The red eyed woman went closer to that guy while he tried to crawl back from her

"P-please! Spear me! I-it was a mistake, I s-swear it will never happen again!"

He pleaded with her not to harm him but it only made the woman scoff at him

"Mistake huh? I never knew that despite someone telling you to stop so many times and not listing each time was a mistake"

She answered back and took off the hud of her clock revealing a beautiful face with soft features, sharp blood red eyes and long silky black hair parted on the left side

She looked back at Aradia who was silently watching all this, the raven looked at how the red head's body was shaking and the dirt on her clothes and couldn't help but groan before looking back at the good for nothing no name villain in front of her

"It's time to pay"

She said and walked closer, and he crawled back soon enough he had hit the brick wall with his back, now there was no way out

The red eyed woman went forward in full speed and kicked him in the face so bad that blood came out from his mouth but that didn't make her stop, she continued and kicked him in the abdomen a couple of times before putting her foot on his chest as he laid on the ground groaning and bloodied

At the same time Aradia was having a bunch of thoughts going thru her mind, in the beginning she didn't know who this was but after the raven took off her hud Yeon Haa remembered who this was

She was in fact a character from the original novel and somewhat important at that, her name was Mei, last name was unknown she was one of the teachers at Rain Academy, she taught students about different weapons from archery to daggers to swords; she was Issac's mentor

Mei could not stand injustice to the slightest this was also the reason why she was beating up that guy and the red head was saved tonight, the raven offered to be Issac's mentor after she saw his swordsmanship at the academy bomb incident, to which he agreed

She had helped the main trio quite alot when war broke out, in return she wanted nothing but Issac insisted on giving her something as a token of appreciation so she asked him to pass down all the information he knew so «if the world is to ever see such a war, they will have an Issac who will protect them» that is what the novel said but Yeon Haa thought it was crony as heck

But aside from that she was a strong and good character, Aradia was so lost in thought that she didn't hear Mei call out her

"Hey.. are you alright?"

Mei slightly shook the redhead's shoulder and questioned her

"Ah- yeah- I'm alright"

Aradia broke out from her thoughts and answered, after a short silence the red head spoke again

"Thank you.."

"It's no big deal, but be careful when going out alone, though I will say that the kick was strong"

Mei commented to make the red head feel better but it was true Mei had seen many victims of harassment before and because of how shocked they were they would not fight back, this was the first time the raven had seen someone pull through and fight back

"Well you should go home now"

Mei said and started to leave, as she walked past the red head she said something that made the raven stop

"I... Please teach me to fight like you..!"

Aradia said, she cringed on the inside, but now that her original plan was ruined she had to work with what she had basically meaning instead of Ellen she was now going to ask Mei to help her out

"..What..?"

Mei asked and looked at the red head with a confused look

"Well.. I want to be able to protect myself and others from scums like them and for that I want you to teach me how"

Aradia purposefully put "help others" in her sentence, she knew that even if Mei didn't want to help her at first now she would at least consider the idea

"Ah- but you can learn on your own-"

"But you're a good person and fighter I'll be able to learn faster if you teach me!"

Aradia cut off Mei and tried convincing her

"But-"

"Please.., there are so many people like him-"

The redhead said and pointed at the now unconscious no name villain and continued

"I want to help those who are hurt by people like him, just like you; help those in need to make this world a better place.. please.."

Aradia felt bad for lying but you got to survive in this world and if a few lies make it easier then what's the problem? And besides the heroes will save the whole contents people anyway

"I- haaa, alright but where will you train?"

Mei asked finally agreeing to the red head's request

"Oh.. you don't have to worry about that, you're going to start teaching at Rain Academy soon, no? I'll come meet you there personally"

Aradia said and started walking away, her body had stopped shaking a long time ago but she hadn't moved till now

"How did you- who are you..?"

Mei was surprised that this unknown girl knew about this, just who was she?

"Hm.. don't worry you will know after a few days, teacher~"

After saying that Aradia left the alleyway to  finally go home leaving behind an dumbfounded Mei

"Haaa.."

The raven sighed and left as well, she was looking forward to who this person was
