Old Xu had a complex expression as he tried to persuade Tang Luo, "Cousin, don't be like this. What Ji Fu just said was only said in anger, why are you taking it so seriously?"
On one side was his dear kinsman, on the other was Ji Fu, a man he greatly admired from the Han Family. To see their conflict escalate to such a level troubled him deeply, for he knew that Tang Luo was not merely uttering empty words. His scheme aimed to eliminate the Han Family completely. The potential extermination of an entire clan because of an argument bothered him, and he could not simply stand by.
"Empty words? I didn't hear anybody speaking," said Tang Luo coldly. He was having none of Old Xu's explanation. When the lives of his family members were at stake, he would not allow any possibility of danger to exist.
