Y/N'S POV
Little by little I was able to get used to nightmares and although they still happened to me daily, they no longer snatched my sleep in the same way as at first. That's how little by little I was able to recover more or less my energy and I returned to my natural state, without taking into account the arm wound. The doctor advised me to go to a doctor in Jericho, but at the same time she thought that maybe the best thing was to send me to an exotic animal veterinarian. And no, I wasn't going to give in to the embarrassment of going to a vet and explaining about kitsunes.
Anyway, the pain in the wound was surprisingly unbearable and except for some moments when the itching drove me crazy, I could endure it quite well. What worried me on the other hand, was how fast the open day had arrived, it seemed as if the week had passed in the blink of an eye and boom, suddenly it was already Sunday. I was standing on the balcony of my room next to Yoko, who was impatiently waiting for her family.
-Y/N: How do you know it's them? I thought you had bad vision during the day - I commented.
-Yoko: You just have to look for a bunch of pale people with glasses similar to mine- she shrugged- And... There they are! -s he said pointing with her finger - They called me on the phone and warned me that they would bring premium blood, so if you'll excuse me... - she said before walking out the door of the room.
Great, a family day out... I stayed for a while on the balcony watching as several families arrived at the school grounds, I was surprised to see that most of them were lycanthropes. Later I remembered that the litters of wolves ranged from one to eleven cubs, so it was normal that there were so many of them. Which would Enid's pack be? I enjoyed the fresh air a little more until I found "Lurch" among the people helping my uncles out of the car. I sighed, went into my room and checked that I looked presentable, and then I went to look for Wednesday.
- Wednesday: Don't say a word - she warned me - I already know they are here, so let's go, eat and get this over with as soon as possible.
- Enid: You know they don't just stay to eat... They are coming to spend the whole day - Enid said while applying a pink lipstick - Are you ready? - she looked at me.
-Y/N: I've tried to convince myself that today won't be so bad, but we'll see - I rolled my eyes - At least we can torture Pugsley as usual if we see that the atmosphere is very heavy.
- Wednesday: - she gave a snap - Good idea, that's what we'll do - she took her backpack with Thing inside - See you later? - she asked Enid.
-Enid: - she nodded - Today is going to be a before and after in my pack, so... To face it with courage! - She said resolutely - I don't think they will scold me once they know that I have transformed into a wolf more than once and that I howl at the moon every time it is full.
-Wednesday: But maybe they will when they find out how gay you are for my cousin - Wenny reminded as she started to walk away - Come on Y/N, don't abandon me at such a horrible moment.
-Y/N: I'll catch up with you right away! - I looked at Enid and stroked her face with the back of my hand - You don't have to tell them if that's going to be a problem for you. Just enjoy the day with your family. Okay? - I kissed her cheek.
-Enid: - she shook her head - I've already told you many times, the issue of finding our mate is very important... I'm going to tell them everything, no matter how they react - she smiled - Nothing will change what you mean to me.
-Y/N: I guess I can't make you change your mind - I smiled and looked into her eyes - Enid, you look cute. I think especially today I don't want to set fire to your colorful clothes.
-Enid: Thank you - she smiled broadly - You look great too, especially now that the dark circles have left your face.
I walked quickly to catch up with Wednesday and once we were together we headed to the Pentagon where we would meet with our family. My aunt and uncle were very happy to see us, especially Wednesday, who according to them was more gloomy than usual. That was quite a compliment coming from an Addams. For my part, they insisted several times on the wound on my arm but I downplayed it saying that it would heal shortly.
- Gomez: So you've been attacked by a hyde again? - he said while taking food from the buffet.
-Morticia: It seems that you are a magnet of misfortunes - she smiled as she filled her plate.
-Wednesday: It's what characterizes us - she rolled his eyes - Luckily, Y/N made the right decisions and we were able to keep our lives.
-Gomez: - he nodded - I guess you've learned to work as a team.
- Wednesday: Rather by relay, it was I who was attacked first and then she - she clarified and looked around - Have you come alone?
- Pugsley: Did you expect to see Grandma? - he said while enjoying the meal - Because she didn't want to come, she stayed at home.
-Wednesday: Grandma does well staying at home, I don't think her dark heart could cope with all this paraphernalia - she started to eat.
- Morticia: Y/N, dear... You're very quiet. Is everything okay?
-Gomez: Maybe she's exhausted from taking care of our little viperine - he tried to approach Wednesday but she pushed him.
- Wednesday: I don't need anyone's care, Father. And much less from someone whose hormones are more revolutionized than a funeral without a dead person.
I looked at her badly because obviously that comment could lead to a lot of questions that I hadn't mentally prepared for and that I didn't want to answer. I just acted like nothing had happened and started eating, however after a while I found a guy with messy hair sniffing at me.
- Morticia: You have a hairy thing nearby, Y/N. Make sure it doesn't steal your food - she commented without further ado.
-Wednesday: Interesting - she said watching the boy - If we let Enid go to the lycanthrope camp she would end up behaving like a real dog - she looked at me and smiled slightly - What kind of sick person would that make you?
-Y/N: - I rolled my eyes - Enid will never behave like this.
- Pugsley: He's about to mark territory on your shoes!
I moved quickly and accompanied the guy to the nearest bathroom, for some reason he kept chasing me. It wasn't until Enid appeared running that everything made sense, it was one of her brothers, one of the youngest and with less experience and self-control.
-Enid: I was explaining to my family about our thing when Will - she looked at the boy - Caught your scent and well, he almost marks you as part of his property.
-Y/N: I didn't know that lycanthropes did that - I commented surprised - You are also partly human.
-Enid: My brothers live in the mountains of San Francisco in total freedom with my parents - she sighed - They look more like wild wolves than humans, believe me.
-Y/N: - I couldn't help but laugh - I hope we never get to the point where I have to scold you for peeing on the couch - I joked.
- Enid: I would never do something like that! - she complained - And much less to you, what a shame... I prefer to keep my cute and flirty image that you like so much - she winked at me.
-Y/N: Enid - I took her by the hands - As corny as it sounds, even if you weren't as feminine and flirtatious as you are now, I would still like you the same - I smiled - And I would still love you from here to the moon.
- Will: - He started howling and that made the rest of the werewolves, except for Enid, howl too - Y/N!
-Y/N: Do you know my name little hairball? - I ruffled his hair.
-Enid: You said the word "moon" - she shook her head - Don't say that in front of any werewolf if you don't want them to howl... - she smiled - And he obviously knows your name, you're part of the pack now.
-Y/N: Oh, wow. Interesting - I nodded - A fox in a wolf pack - I smiled - Did your parents take it well?
-Enid: Neither right nor wrong, they have said that they would have preferred you to be a wolf and a male - she shrugged her shoulders - But they are perfectly aware that you cannot fight the bond that is created with our mate. So it's all good... How are you doing? Has anything interesting happened?
-Y/N: Nothing relevant, Wenny being blunt with my uncles the same as always - I said without giving importance - I'd rather go around and do something more interesting.
-Enid: Normally I would offer to sneak out there with you and take the opportunity to have the first date that you still owe me - she reminded me while making a funny face - But I have the feeling that something interesting is going to happen. So, don't think about it too much and try to enjoy your family - she kissed my cheek - And if you think yourself brave enough... Come and meet mine - she winked at me as she walked away with Will.
I returned to my family and got ready to finish my plate of food while I reflected on Enid's words. What did she mean that something interesting could happen? Maybe I was right and my hormones were turned on their head because what crossed my mind was not a family-friendly event. It was a matter of two that had to be done with complete privacy and discretion. I could notice my claws and fangs growing just thinking about it, but it was thanks to a Wednesday punch on my shoulder that I was able to calm down.
- Wednesday: Control yourself, damn it - she said as she glared at me.
