Y/N'S POV
I spent every class thinking about our new threat. How could a shadow be stalking us without anyone noticing? Supposedly, we were safe at the academy. Right? I looked around and noticed each and every one of my classmates. Maybe it was some kind of traitor like Brooke. No one looked suspicious, everyone looked half dead trying to solve the math problem.
I turned my head sighing and met Yoko's gaze fixed on me, I looked at her with repelus and she put duck lips sending me a flying kiss. I acted like I took the kiss in the air and then tore it into a thousand pieces. The vampire acted like she was hurting by putting her hand to her chest and pretending to be in terrible pain. I got so distracted by that stupid thing that I didn't see the teacher's flying chalk coming and it crashed into my forehead.
- Y/N: Ouch! - I complained while holding my hand to my forehead - What was that for?
- Teacher: Miss Addams and Tanaka, to the principal's office.
- Yoko: Hey... Why me too? !! I haven't even opened my mouth!
- Teacher: Don't make me repeat myself, you will be able to concentrate better on the math problem in the presence of the director.
I rolled my eyes and grabbed my things before getting kicked out of class next to the vampire, goodbye to my search for suspects. On the way to the director's office Yoko did nothing but annoy me and blame me for being discovered, I got fed up and I growled at her bringing out my fangs.
-Y/N: You're the one who started that acting nonsense - I complained - Now I have to be punished because of you.
-Yoko: You should have accepted my love - she kept pretending to be hurt - But you are so cold, Y/N... I don't know how it's possible that Enid thinks you're so hot.
-Y/N: Come on shut up - I pushed her and she unintentionally bumped into a man who was mopping the floor - Sorry! - I was in a hurry to apologize.
- Sir: Damn you kids! - he frowned and held up the mop threatening to hit us with it - You just stepped on the wet! Why the hell aren't you in class? !!
-Yoko: We've been summoned to the director's office, but we're already leaving - she smiled uncomfortably as she pushed me to walk.
What an edge man, we didn't want to bump into him and much less wanted to hinder his work to drede. It was an accident, if it had been on purpose I would have condemned him to clean for the rest of the week... So he didn't have the right to speak so badly to us. I frowned as I walked by Yoko and decided to ask about the curmudgeon.
-Y/N: What the hell is wrong with that man? - I said annoyed - It's not our fault if he leads a mediocre life.
- Yoko: Don't you know who he is? It's Mr. Wilson, he's been working here since... I don't know, a long time - she smiled - I hadn't even grown my fangs, so imagine how veteran he is.
-Y/N: And has he always been this bitter? - i said, sitting down on the bench in front of the door of the director's office - He was about to hit us with the mop, if he did it and I would have broken the mop's stick on his head - I threatened.
- Yoko: Well you know... He is a man who is lonely, he will be in his fifties, this is probably not his ideal job, and on top of that he has to deal with teenagers every day - she shrugged - I would be bitter too if I were him.
-Y/N: Put like that, it sounds horrible to get old - I let out a giggle but suddenly we heard the office door being opened. We turned around slowly and Director Duncan appeared with her arms crossed, she didn't seem to be very happy to see us.
- Director: Ladies... They can come in now - she said seriously. - You're going to be grounded until you finish all their chores, and you won't soften me up with complaints or puppy dog eyes.
We both stayed all afternoon in the principal's office finishing all the tasks that had been assigned to us in class. We only rested for ten minutes to eat a sandwich that Enid and Divine brought us out of compassion. Was our fault really so serious as to punish us in that way? I was convinced that it was no big deal, and that surely other students would have committed more serious offenses.
The sun disappeared by the time they let us go and that meant I had missed my chance to talk about the bond with Enid. Yoko was complaining about how fried her brain was after so many hours solving problems and I joined her complaint until we met our friends in the hallway.
- Yoko: Divine! - she ran to her and let herself be wrapped in her arms - It's been horrible, you don't know what they've done to us in there... I've caught up on all my tasks and projects how much they've made us work! And you know that I never keep anything up-to-date - she complained.
- Enid: Has it been that horrible? - she said waiting for me with open arms.
- Y/N: Uhm... I'm not going to run towards you like Yoko has done - I said approaching her and I smiled at her - Yes it's true that they have gone too far with the punishment, but well... That means I don't have to worry about doing homework for a while anymore. Now I can concentrate on taking you to the dance - I whispered the last thing to her.
-Enid: That sounds good - she smiled and intertwined her hand with mine - Why have you been punished? As you sit at the end of the class, I have not found out.
-Y/N: It was Yoko's fault, the very idiot started to send me a flying kiss - I kicked her from behind - I can't believe she was grounded and not Wednesday.
- Wednesday: What have I done now? - she was walking beside me with her arms crossed.
-Y/N: Last year the institute was set on fire because of your research - I looked at her seriously - I consider that to be more serious than doing something stupid with the bloodsucker.
-Wednesday: - she nodded - It's funny, actually. I guess Director Weems was much more empathetic and soft. Unlike her, Director Duncan seems to be much more strict - she looked at me - I will make sure not to be discovered during my activities.
- Enid: Shouldn't you say that you won't commit any foul? - she smiled - It's better if we behave ourselves...
-Wednesday: I have my own opinion about what is right and what is wrong, it is not my fault that others disagree with that.
-Y/N: Talking about what's right and wrong, I have to talk to you - I said looking at Enid who smiled flirtatiously - I-It's not about yesterday, that was much better than fine - I said a little bit nervous and cleared my throat - Although it's a serious topic what I'm going to propose to you.
-Enid: - she nodded with her rosy cheeks - Let's talk about whatever you want.
-Y/N: - I looked at Wednesday - I have to talk to you too, it's what we talked about this morning.
-Wednesday: Okay - she said entering her room - Settle your matter with Enid first, that's more urgent right now.
