Help is come.

Jaden sat, staring in the darkness. He had cried quietly until he was out of tears. He regretted being who he had become. If only his dad had treated him better, he wouldn’t turn this greedy, and he wouldn’t be in this mess. Even his mother who was his only hope changed when their dad left.

She tried so hard to fill the space their dad had left in his other twin’s life, thereby neglecting him, just as his father had done.

He flinched, hearing the sound of a bell. It wasn’t so loud due to his position, but he could at least hear it.

He could also hear;

“Intruders! Intruders!” in a faint voice. He got up, walking towards a particular direction with aid from his hands and the walls. He could hear the voice come again.

“Humans! Humans!”

His heart skipped. Other noises overshadowed his thoughts. The entire village had assembled. He kept moving forward, but his knees felt weak again.
