Earlier...

Emily and her crew walked quickly into the forest. Now they had every reason to continue the journey. They walked until they saw a border which was formed by bushes. It was like an entrance.

“This is it” Jaden announced.

They were no longer excited about the mission. Rather, fright and tension began creeping into their minds. Fear of the unknown.

“Okay, let’s go in” Dylan said, unmoving. They all stood, still waiting for who would go in first.

“You go first” Emily said to Jaden.

“No, you go in” Jaden returned.

“Stop, stop, let’s all go together” Dylan suggested.

“No, ladies first” Jaden said.

“There’s no way I’m dying first” Emily blurted.

“No one is dying okay?!” Dylan yelled.

“Shh...” both Emily and Jaden echoed.

The noise from their feud had attracted a Herpertine who was just by the village entrance, less to their notice.

The man hurriedly went in to alert the others.
